I got scared for a second and thought you drilled holes in your bumper. Then I saw the second picture and that made me feel better. Sweet mod by the way.

This is true, not having a front license plate is only a secondary offense. I talked to my cousin who is a north salt lake cop (drives a charger as a police car). Even then he said that cops don't even mess with it then. Hey so I don't thread jack "I think front license plates suck" whew got that off my chest. Anyways I was wondering stonecold could you ask you cousin if it is illegal to drive with blue halos I have passed cops and they have not gave me any issues but they could have been busy. Or maybe go as far to ask are there colors that are acceptable, the reason I ask is the new Audi's have LED's that are getting very close to my blue halos. Thanks in advance, Ed

Dave, Cool to know! If I ever get pulled over for no front plate, I might have to borrow your mod. But I believe Law enforcement cant pull you over primarly for Licemce plate. Yeah, you can borrow if if you ever get pulled over for "Driving While Bbbb.b...) nevermind! LOL Anybody can borrow it if they need to for that matter. I'll just remember to take out my plate first. LOL ;D ;D ;D I like it. That is a great idea. I have been dreding on drilling holes in my bumper. Dont Do it, I agree. Would hate putting holes in a perfectly good bumper. I think it takes away from a car, personally. Infact, its almost a deal breaker for me, when I am car shopping. I was told, that if your car has the holes, ya have to have bracket with licence plate, but if it doesnt, they usually dont mess with ya, being that most police officers are car folks too.

Thanks in advance, Ed Technically, you can't have red or blue because those colors impersonate a police or medical vehicle. I sometimes forget to turn mine off and have receive a few warnings. No written warnings yet because the cops think my car is cool.

I wasn't even thinking about it when I bought my Charger back in 06. They had drilled the holes and had the plates on at the dealership...I think I was the only car at SEMA with a stupid front license plate...oh well, what do you do. Side story - back in 1990 I had a car with neon rails under the front, rear and sides. I was living in San Diego at the time. A cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket for the lights...on the ticket he wrote "UFO lights". I took it to my local LEO for signoff...he asked me "what the heck are UFO lights". I shrugged...he signed off on the fix it ticket
