Why is everybody selling their LX? Well I can't speak for everybody else, but in my case it came down to accepting the fact that my Charger is a want, not a need. Eliminating various other debts is more important to me than having a shiny new car parked in the garage, and once the Charger is gone it will free up a lot of extra funds to throw at said various other debts. This was not a snap decision made without lots of contemplation and thought. I will never again be able to buy a new Charger R/T as inexpensively as I did this one, for example. Nevertheless, I feel this is the better long-term thing for us to do. I sure am gonna miss it, though.

Dempsey, You are selling your car too?!?! We might have to turn forum into Classified ad Just Kidding! What are you going to replace it with? Challenger? SRT8 Model? Waiting for new 6.4L to come out? Surprised you are looking to sell, as you were just thinkin bout replacing the Cam. Good luck with sale, sure it will move fast being that it is very clean & good looking! Make sense, understandable, I thought bout it too, but than I realize. I got my car for what a new 4 cylinder Accord/Altima/Camry would cost! So that is how I justify my car note, but an extra $370 a month to throw elsewhere would be nice. But I tend to keep cars for 10-15 yrs, like my 97 Civic & 95 Legend for bout 10 yrs. Well, Hope ya still will come out & support events/M&Gs. Iknow it will be tough, having sold your Charger!

Sorry to see that you have to let your Charger go. Good luck with the sale and I hope everything works out for you.
Done the road hopefully you'll be able upgrade and get something even nicer, like an SRT. I understand the Needs and Wants issues, it only took me 47 years to get me a car I wanted, instead of buying something that just fit my needs. Hope it doesn't take you that long.

Gordon meant to say that while the R/T are really awesome & very nice rides, that when & if you wanted down the road a even bigger gas guzzler with little more performance, you probably could pick up an SRT8 for comparable prices to a new R/T. Something like that Gordon .... Dont want Dave, Stephen, Mikey, Richard and all the other awesome R/T owners going bonkers! If Richard( BYUChallenger) saw this, I know he would have chimed in or PMd ya ;D ;D Disclosure statement- Views expressed by our members are solely their own views and opinions and not that of our Establishment ;D Something like that.. Just teasing you Gordon!

What are you going to replace it with? Challenger? SRT8 Model? Waiting for new 6.4L to come out? No, no and no. It would actually be replaced by some yet-to-be-determined $1000 beater (much to my wife's dismay). I've been putting off this decision for a few months now, hence my post (and thoughts/plans) for additional modifications. But I've finally decided to do the best, smartest thing. Now I just have to keep reminding myself of that. I've never done that. In fact, I have owned around 40 cars throughout my life... and over half of them I never even had to renew the registration since I didn't own them for more than 12 months. I've lost more money on cars than I care to admit. ;D

Thanks Chris! Didn't mean to dis the R/T's! Had an R/T Mag and really like the performance (except when it was in the shop). I like the SRT better however! ;D
