Chris is a good guy that I have ran across on several of the lx based forums. He has worked in the prosthetic industry for years and is using his talents to now create some sweet real carbon fiber CAIs for us HEMI folks. I am not advertising for him as I don't own one of his CAIs (yet), just saw his product and talked with him a little about what he does. It is a pretty slick setup and reasonably priced for Carbon Fiber (with lifetime warranty). His product first caught my eye in one of the builds I am tracking. He also does some custom work for those with the V6 and other needs. It doesn't look like he has a formal website, but you can check out his stuff here if you are interested: www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=206509I think I have been convinced enough to give his product a try...I will be switching my wish list form Cervinis to LMI. I have to do a little more research on the Thermodynamics of CF, but so far everything makes sense...

That looks great. Chris did an awesome job on "true" CAI. I have the Mopar WAI, that I want to upgrade from. I love how it sits lower to grab more dense air and away from Hot engine bay. Any Dyno numbers yet. I imagine this CIA is lightweight and dissipate heat away or than the cool look. Now I just need someone to buy my current used Mopar Intake.

I have asked for Dyno numbers, but it is hard to find Dyno results on a single mod like a CAI...most of what I have seen has been a combination of other mods, like exhaust. I had an Injen CAI on my Charger...it was a good system...not sure about heat transfer given the huge metal pipe.

I honestly think that all the CAI have close enough or real similar numbers. I dont think one would have more than 10HP advantage over the lowest Dyno comparison. After all, they are pretty much the same concept, similar design. I could be wrong, but the best one vs worst one, cant be a huge difference. I think it comes down to personal taste & style.

The carbon fiber CAI's look sweet! Would be interesting to find out about gain.
I think your right Chris, there isn't a whole lot of difference between them as I think the lowest was around 13 hp (if I remember correctly). When I was looking for mine, I found that the Mopar one had the least gain, but it looked cool! The one that I settled on was the K&N 63-114. They boost a 21.09 HP gain at 5216 RPM's.
You know me, performance first and looks are second.

I have to imagine that you are correct. Carbon Fiber looks pretty hot under the hood ;D I will probably pick up one of LMIs systems in the next couple months...once the sting of the money I spent this week on zoomers, predator, tstat, lin loc and battery tender goes away...man I love cars!!
