Hey I was just wondering how everyone feels about the diablo tuners. Is it worth it? i have the 3.5L and want to know if its going to make enough differance to make it worth while, what do you guys think?

The best spent money on a mod so far IMO, It woke my car up, not that it was bad before, but it is now night & day. I can tell a huge difference. Keep in mine this is just a canned tune at that ,a CRM tune which can cost close to $500 will really unleash the beast. I have heard of many people on the SRT8 forum swear by them, and I have to agree. The best $300 bucks so far, waiting for someother mods in the works before I get CRM tuned. Plus ya can trouble shot any codes or clear codes, change shift point, engine fan temp setting to come on earlier to keep car cooler, Test run to see how your car is performing and many more features which I can show ya on mine if ya wanna to see for yourself. I wish I could let ya use mine for a weeks, so ya can try it out, We tried to install on DungeonLair SRT8 so he could see the difference, but it wanted some additonal updates and downloads. Too much trouble to go through this process 3 times to get back on my car. On Dyno day, I am going to do 3 pulls, baseline pull with Stock tune, Caned 91 CAI tune and 3rd pull 93CAI tune to see what gains I have acheived. Well if ya wanna check it out on my car, I would be happy to show ya. Ya can always find a deal on Diablo Programmers and maybe one of our cool Vendors could hook up, I have USB port if ya get one that doesnt have one, I had to buy my at Radio Shack cuz mine didnt come with it, maybe that why I got it for 3 bills, Normally 4 bills. They have the new one coming out called Trintiy, dont know much bout it yet, just that it is expensive ;D |

ill tell you everything you need to know about one i have one it is fully adjustable parameters air fuel spek fans for an aftermarket therm. best tuner ever and yes i would swear on it to and stand buy it to the fullest no lie i have just the K&N air filter cherry bomb exhaust i did and the programmer and it took me 13.15 at MATS and a stock srt8 was 14.3s 14.4s so speaks for itself  |

If you want to change significant parameters in your car's powertrain you will need one. I had to have one to upload my tunes to my car...it wouldn't even start with the factory tune. |

I recently took the canned tune out & now my car feels like she is a sleep, probably because I am used to the extra power from the Diablo.. I noticed that my gas MPG went up ;D. My stock rpm read out is steady idle at 540-690 compared to tune rpm display 690- 790 rpm.. |

Why did you remove the canned tune? Are there any places around here that can do a dyno tune that you know of

Going to be putting canned tune in today after I get my garage painted & grass cut. What a fun memorial weekend. I know Karl @ API can do a dyno CRM tune & Phil with (SRT8 Challenger) down in Orem... I am just waiting til I get my Jetted Coated Kooks LT Kooks Headers... Debating if I should wait to go all out with CRM Dyno tune until I do Heads, Cam & Headers or just coated headers. But after seeing King Savage video of his SRT8 Charger, I know I will want more than just Headers, Exhaust, Intake & CRM Tune.. |

anyone know if the predator can retard timing for boost? just wondering if it has that capability.

anyone know if the predator can retard timing for boost? just wondering if it has that capability. Predator can pretty much do everything. Adjusting A/F ratio, timing for boost and many other things. Karl at API is authorized as a certified vendor/installer. He can crm tune your car. I believe his rate is 495 for N/A and 595 for F/I. Dont quote, but I think that is his & most of the industry rates |
