My brother saw this post, here's his comments, "by the way the G8 would walk all over your "stock stationwagon" So would the CTV-V, STS-V, and my aveo" Sounds like a challenge to me! Did your brother say Aveo? What a comedian ;D ;D ;D The New generation CTSv, I would say is in a different class being that it is a beast with 556 hp supercharger for $64k that competes with AMG, & 90K M5. The current gen STSv with the 4.4 supercharged rated at 469hp, wouldn't walk all over a modded SRT8, I do believe it would be close. However G8 is nice in its own rights & maybe be the best bang for the buck, being that it is considerable less than an SRT8 and has just as much Hp & Torque. They do look alot better than the prev GTO ( no offense GTO owners). But is not walking over an SRT8, Sorry my friend I dont see it happening. I guess what do you consider walking all over ( 3 or 4 cars lengths is walking all over) Kinda like my SRT8 vs your Aveo ;D, well that would be more like a massacre. With that being said, I am sure Dodge/Chrysler isnt going to stand around and let the new models', such as the G8, Mustang, Camaro out perform them. I expect something huge is in the works for the SRT division, rumors of an 6.4L V8 with 550 hp is in the works. To Russ brother- Its not too late to come on over to Mopar side. We welcome you with open arms ;D Trade that Aveo for in for a SRT4 neon at least, but seriously get yourself a LX and join in on this fun. |

Hey Russ, Did ya ask your dad if your brother was adopted. I love my brother and he is a mustang guy, but I wouldn't let him drive an AVEO. Every family reunion or get together I would never let him live it down, nor would my Dad & he is a True GM/Chevy guy. He has a 60 impala in the stable and owned many Cadillacs in his time, Trying to talk him into the STS over the Old man DTS. |
