Ok, we are at the two week mark, and the clock is really starting to count down! Here are some final details. For those that want to meet up North and cruise down to the meeting place in Salt Lake City, we will meet in the south/west corner of the parking lot at the Garcia's Mexican Restaurant located at the southern part of the Layton Hills Mall, just off of Hill Field Road. I don't think our normal meeting place, Madbrooks, is going to be big enough. We will meet there at 8:00am and hit the road at 8:15am sharp! Once again we will be meeting in the parking lot of a company named Graybar Electric located at 2841 South 900 West in Salt Lake City. From the north you can exit the 21st Fwy at the 900 West Exit and go south. From the south you can exit the I-15 at 3300 South, head west, turn right (north) on 900 west. The business is closed and we should have plenty of parking as the parking lot will hold about 60 cars as long as people don't take more than one place. If we run out of space, just cross the street to the north is another parking lot for Grainger Supply, we can use that for over flow parking. Do not park on the street between the two business as that is a private road and does have truck traffic. The meeting time at the Salt Lake meeting place is 9AM and we'll plan on hitting the road by 9:30am. We will cruise on the planned route as shown at the beginning of this tread and the first planned stop is in Eden just north of the Pine View Reservoir at the intersection of Hwy 162 and SR-158. The distance is about 74 miles from the SLC starting point. There is a Mavrick Service Station located at that intersection for those that may need to get additional fuel or need to make a quick stop. Just north of that intersection is a dirt parking lot that the Power Mountain Ski Resort uses as a shuttle parking lot where we will gather for our group picture. The dirt is well packed so I don't think we will have any issues. I tried to find a cool old barn we could park in front of, but couldn't find anything with enough parking. We will reach that lot at about 11am and hope to get everyone parked and pictures taken as quickly as possible so we can be back on the road by 11:30am. The next planned stop will be in North Ogden at I-15 and the 2700 North exit, we should reach there at about Noon. At this location there is plenty of parking and the following restaurants; McDonalds, Arby's, Wendy's, Subway, and Jumbo Burgers. There is also a 7-11 and a Mavrick. There is a Mexican restaurant at the same location, but I don't think there will be enough time to get a sit down meal. We'll stop for lunch for about an hour and re-group at a Park-N-Ride parking lot located just south across the street from the Mavrick near the freeway entrances. Would like to leave that Park-N-Ride at about 1:00pm so we can be back into the SLC area by 2pm. I'm sure as we start our cruise down into the SLC area, those that came from the north will most likely be peeling off as we pass near their homes. There also may be a couple of people that don't make the lunch stop that have plans later that evening they may have to get back for. So our group will be getting smaller as we reach the SLC area. The cruise will be officially over when we reach the I-215 & HWY 201 interchange. The official cruise is about 136 miles. If anyone is coming from the south and would like to arrange a meeting place as well, feel free to post details. We're in the final weeks, so make sure you get the word out to all of your Mopar buddies and get those fliers out! Again if you need a copy of the flier PM me and I'll Email it to ya. Let's see if we can hit 75 cars this year!

Well, do to my Bee suddenly popping turn signal fuses & not having the time to address the issue, I have decided to drive my tried & true, trusty, rusty ol' '96 Ram. I figured that I could plaster the body with SLCLX & M.O.U. banners/paraphenalia & ride in the back of the pack... if yah'll like?

C'mon Jeff! You've got two weeks to figure out what the problem is. Don't give up hope yet! Goin' to Lake Powell all next week (priorities! ). that gives me a week to get it figured out. I haven't had a chance to really test it's heating issues on a long drive just yet, & now this freakin' electrical snag? ...not sure if I trust taking it on the cruise. looks like I must have pissed off the gods! I'm still gonna do what I can.

Just got word that we will be having at least one car coming from out of state for this cruise, from Nampa, Idaho. ;D
Our invited pace car is still undetermined, the UHP-911 Charger, due to a transmission issue. The officer in charge of the car now would really like to be on this cruise and is hoping they are able to fix the issue as quickly as possible. Told him I knew of a great place that would take care of their problems!
