Well got the truck taken all apart and started sanding down all the areas with clear coat and sun fade. Decided I might as well spray the whole thing so it all matches. I've decided on going all red instead of two toning it black, I'll probably eventually do it though. Here's the progress picture though.

Well got it all entirely sanded today, tomorrow I've got to take my heat gun to get the fender flares off and get the glass pulled. Going to try really hard to spray it tomorrow, but depends on masking time and whenever they get there to pull the windshield. If not tomorrow then I'll probably sneak in on Saturday to do it. But here's some pictures Also, here's a picture of my old high school teachers project van. It's on bags, has custom made 20", 22" staggered wheels, and soon to have a 383 SBC. He's planning on going with a paint scheme like the mystery machine with his own idea behind it.

Sigh of relief finally! The truck is finally painted, now all I have to do is paint the front bumper, door handles mirrors, and tonneau cover and throw it all back together. If all goes as planned, I should have it all painted and back together before this weekend. What sucks is I can't get any more time off work, so the rest is up to my old teacher to finish so hopefully he keeps his word.

Who did the painting? From the pictures it looks good!
Know the feeling of not having enough time to get done what you want to. Going to look good!
Look forward to seeing the completed results!

I did the base and had my teacher help with the clear, mostly because it was something neither of us had sprayed so I didn't want to take any chances.
I've been going over after work and he just keeps a door unlocked for me, so I go in and do what I need to do then lock up and leave which is nice, no distractions.
Hopefully everything works out and everything is painted tomorrow, then I can start re-assembly on Thursday and Friday.

Finally got the missing pieces to the puzzle (mirrors) tonight, went out and slapped them on and got a quick garage picture. If it doesn't end up snowing too early tomorrow I'll try and get some good daytime pictures. With school in the morning and work until 6 it's hard to find time to get any sun, dang daylight savings time.

Wow! Hey, I know a good detailer that can really make that truck pop once the paint cures... ;D Congrats Harrison! Is the tonneau cover next to get paint?

Oh it pops pretty good as is right now lol, but yeah before next show season I'm gonna cut and buff it to give it a really good shine. I've already got the tonneau painted actually, I have a little issue to figure out with the mounting. Hopefully by this weekend I have it situated and back on the truck.
