I was to get a better exhaust for my car and dont know what to get. I like Kens he said it was the flowmaster 440, but what are some other options?? I dont want anything that is loud and annoying when driving down the freeway.

I Personally love flowmaster. I had the 40 series on my dakota and loved it. But if you're looking for something with no drone on the inside fo the car the Flowmaster 50 series sounds pretty good with no drone. It's originally designed for suv's so that there is no cabin noise.

There's a couple of things you can do. If the exhaust is stock you have the suit case muffler under the middle of the car, and the resonators that are tucked up behind both rear fenders. When I had the exhaust changed on the Mag, I had them cut out the suit case muffler and straight pipe through. Where the resonators are is where I stuck the Flowmaster 40's. Another option is what Ben did on his Charger, he put the Flowmaster in place of the suit case mufflers and straight piped through were the resonators where.
As Chris stated, there is a little drone with the Flowmaster 40's. In my Mag it's very noticeable between 1,200 to about 1,400 rpm's during light acceleration in traffic. It doesn't bother me, but the wife complains a little. All I do is auto shift when she is in the car so the rpm's stay above 1,400 and it goes away. I don't have any drone at all at highway speeds. But if you go to the Flowmaster 50's the drone issue should go away.
I can't remember if the stock R/T's have an X pipe or not, but if you don't have one you might want to think about having one installed while you've got them working on the exhaust. It will help the engine breath a little better, and improves the sound note.

I'd personally recommend Magnaflow for a somewhat affordable, very good looking, and easy installation.
I've been doing all sorts of exhaust installs, and I'm surprised with the lack of quality of the other systems compared to Magnaflow. It really is a full bolt in and go kit, unlike most of the others that promise this, but always require some type of modifying.
If your just going the cheap route then you can just go and buy some new mufflers and have those welded in place of the old ones, but if your going to go for sound and some added performance, I'd suggest at least a cat-back exhaust system.

I have Flowmaster super 40's and reso delete on maggie. I like it around town but Janell can barely stand to be in the car at 75+ (highway speed) we have to almost yell to talk to each other The interior noise is very loud being a magnum and open cabin. I also ran this setup on mySuper Bee had same problem as maggie. I prefer Corsa or Zoomers. I ran the Zoomers on my R/T Magnum, Charger R&T and Super Bee and loved them.

basically, ya have to ask yourself ,"what are your goals"? Are you going for looks? are you going for sound? are you going for performance?
I personally would suggest get a used stock SRT8 exhaust , which will give you a bit more sound, little bit more performance without the drone and and breaking the bank.
As far as the best upgrade exhaust with no drone, that would be Corsa. From a cost factor, the best option would probably be to leave your stock exhaust alone.
Of course, the decision is going to be yours and everyone has an opinion or personal preference.

You're a Charger, don't worry so much about Drone. We Magnum owners get it no matter what... at least a little.
I have Magnaflow on mine and got a lot of compliments during the year end cruise about it sounding throatier and larger than the 5.7.... but I also have Blastin Bob's 7db true through kit.

I am pretty much looking for more sound and performance. My exhaust sounds terrible when you get on the gas it sounds like marbles in a tin can. LOL. I want to more throaty sound, but I dont want to yell at my passengers when driving. Maybe I will ask Ken for a ride so I can hear his. My car sounds good till I get on the gas then it just dont sound real good As far as looks I really dont care what it looks like as long as its not a hack job since its under the car I just want it done right. Mike said borla and corsa are the most expensive out there so I dont know if I will go with that it will be flowmaster or masterflow if them are the right ones im thinking about. I know zip about exhaust.

Go See Derick At Kirks Car Care in Roy. Tell Him I sent you. He's been doing my exhaust work for 12 years and he will never steer you wrong.

I had the center suitcase muffler cut off and left the resos (brylcream mod). It cost $40 and makes some difference with no drone. I eventually am gonna upgrade but it saves me the $$ until I decide what I really like and want.

I have FM super 40's with reso delete as well and if you learn how to drive it you'll almost be able to bypass most of the drone. accelerating slowly through about 1400 to 1500 you'll really notice it but like I said you can learn what works after a while and you'll notice it on the highway especially if you get the mds to kick in! but if you play with the rpm you'll find the sweet spot. me I can't cruise at 75 freeway (who does that lol) without it bugging people I usually have to get up to 80 and above to hush her up. but me I doesn't bother a bit, its the non car folk that don't care for it. and yes Gordon the R/T's have an x pipe

and yes Gordon the R/T's have an x pipe I thought they might, just wasn't sure. Didn't have my R/T long enough to look under it (thou the dealer had plenty of opportunities, they had it enough). Thanks for clarifying!
