Car looks awesome! And those are some great numbers. I wish I could get mine on a dyno. We are still pushing less hp than that R/T at the shows:) Kellie, where did you get your car tuned or did you use one of the canned tunes? If you haven't...you should just bite the bullet and drive yourself to a tuner. There are so many variables that can produce horsepower from a ChipMasterRevolution tune...especially since you are FI. I made it to Sacramento (through SLC) in 10 hours. That's 8 for you! You could get an awesome tune and get to watch your car on a dyno all afternoon!

That's a BEAST of a car you have there!!! Sounds great too BTW. I REALLY want to put either a head/cam setup in my car or a vortech and see how that is...but a dyno day would be SWEEEEET!!! Thanks!!! Yes it would. I don't know if the guy with the dyno is still having any issues. I am all over it when t happens! Will let ya know as soon, as I hear something, that way ya can have time to plan on making trip with your fellow Wyo SRT8 buddies. What day or weekend would work best for ya guys? There is a cruise/M&G that is being planned by Utah County members. and than there is RMR club racing June 12th? than there is LHM Mopar show (June28th) & Herriman car show (June27th) end of month, we can plan it that Saturday(27th).

I am definitely open for that week-end (27th.) Did you ever come to a resolution for your ABS system being involved in your dyno run? It sure sounds like one wheel was trying to spin faster than the other.

If you tune your car in Sacramento and drive it in Wyoming, doesn't altitude affect it? If not, I see a dyno in my future. I'm just running the canned ProCharger tune.

I agree, but what about altitude? If you tune your car in Sacramento and drive it in Wyoming, doesn't altitude affect it? If not, I see a dyno in my future. I'm just running the canned ProCharger tune. Your car will adapt in all situations except wide open throttle, which is a "static" or non-changing map. A CMR tune will benefit you in ALL ways as the tuner can look specifically at what YOUR car is doing and manipulate values that are already in use...just fine tune them. Your car adjusts for altitude (again, except at WOT) by trying to always maintain a 14.2:1 A/F ratio or whatever the number is....I think it's 14.2:1 anyway. At WOT in Sacramento (basically sea level) I had an A/F ratio of 12.4:1, which is what the tuner set my car to be at...this is a set value and the car does not look at the value nor try to change anything. I drove home to Green River (7000 altitude) and because of the lack of air, my car was super rich, around 9.0:1 A/F ratio at WOT. I can see this as I have a wideband gauge to look at. I used my Predator and "modified my existing tune" by removing fuel a little at a time, doing WOT runs in between, until I was around 12.4:1 again. This is a direct loss of power but there is nothing I can do about it, except move to a lower altitude:) I have never had a SC but discuss your altitude with any competent tuner and a decent solution will be reached I am sure.

I have given up on the S/C route and am really looking into the STS turbo setup. I am planning on getting a turbo to run 7 PSI with methanol injection and a custom tune to hone it all in. Plus, with that setup I will be $4,000 cheaper than a supercharger with similar boost, and it will be safer on the engine with less heat soak.

Going to spark the long ole debate of which is better, I see. Turbo vs Supercharger.... There are many pros and cons with each set up. I didnt realize the STS turbo was $4k less than Techo. I guess it comes down to personal preference and what are ya looking to get from your car. I thought bout both of em, but decide naturally aspirated was the route I wanted to go, but who knows, I do like em both. I hear the STS is more safe for our engines due to heat & belt issues, but thats just hear say. Maybe Brett (budman) can enlighted us. He has the 426 STS TT Challenger. After seeing the Techo, I am sold that the SC is a very good system for instant boost and power all through powerband. I am think that turbo might have a lil lag, but supposedly the STS setup found away to minimize that.

Just think of it this way. When you do get it down to a sea level area to race, that car is going to crazy fast.
