Looking for some input for camming my 2010 5.7 Challenger. While I would like to keep the torque down low, what I really want is to get that good old loping idle I loved so much in my old 60 s motors.
Any comments on a good cam to get what I'm looking for?
Thanks for any suggestions

My Thanks to Duger99 for the suggestion to check out the Hinckley Speed shop downtown Salt Lake. I spent some Time with Dave and he showed me around the shop as we talked. Since I am a liftime member of the USFRA we had a chance to discuss their record breaking runs they have had out at the Salt flats.
Anyway, we discussed some great options for my Challenger, and it looks like I am going with some new heads CNC that will be built up for my Cam application. Theres gonna be a sweet sound in Draper!!

Awesome man, I'm glad to hear that you connected with Dave. I was going to go with their shop when I was looking at a cam for my 2008 Challenger SRT8. Never happened in that car, but may be an option for the new one if we ever stop popping out babies

Thanks again. I really appreciated their personal interest in my project.
By the way in doing some research I saw that heads and cam can get your 392 to 650 HP, Just Saying... But then again KIds are alot of fun too. ;D

Kids are great but putting them in my car doesn't get me 650 hp! Would be awesome though. Good luck with your quest for more go fast!

The cost of heads and cam wouldn't be too bad, but I would probably have to replace half the rear end to be able to handle the power Can't wait to hear your machine...Lope...Lope....Lope...

I worked extensively for 2 years with Dave and Craig at Hinckley Race Shop and other then Josh the owner of HHP and Karl owner of API I would not let anyone touch my cars mod wise. OH... if they need somone to find or get you parts.... that are the "correct" parts in a "timely" fashion without the "800%" markup, they have my number.
P.S watch out for Gators

The order is in on the Heads and they have been Ported already, we are just waiting on the Cam decision before we ship it out so it gets the right valve seat and spring setup. Hoping to get it done before the end on march! Would love to put it on the Dyno on Dyno Day!!

What lift/duration on cam are you planning on going with? Fingers crossed that this is all wraped up by end of March. Thinking you will be well over 400-420 at the wheels.
