I'll pay 5-10 to take a group pic if we stop. I'm pretty sure I'm making this cruise. I hear it's a great turn out. And that's what it's about. A group of people with common interests comin together to share their views and vehicle with their fellow members.

If you make the run on Sunday I may tag along if thats ok. Sorry Steve, wasn't able to make it out as I was hoping. Also due to being out of town for a week and trying to catch back up it has been a little crazy. Would of loved to have ya go with me. Was able to make it out today and have a basic route down as well as the spot for the group photo. Have just a couple of finial details to work out. Nope to have the details posted before the week end is over.

The cruise last time through the loop was awesome and nope we didn't have to pay even though we stopped at the big turnout for the picture! Chris and a few of us hung out after the pic and listened to everyone roar up the hill to our next stop it was an EPIC SOUND!!! I can't wait again this year!

Here's the official route for the year end cruise! We will leave the meeting place in SLC at 9:30 am. If you need to get gas, use the restroom, or grab some food please do so before coming to the meeting point. This is a Maverick just to the south on 3300 South or a Flying J just to the north on 2100 South. Both are about the same distance. Once we exit off of I-15 onto Hwy 92 in the Lehi area we are going to get split up due to the light at the bottom of that ramp. Just past 4800 West (about 6.5 miles from the freeway off ramp) there is a large length of shoulder to the right that we will pull over at and wait for everyone to get back together into a group. I'm not sure of the "Per Vehicle Charge" yet as I wasn't able to talk to the ranger at the station just before you enter the Alpine Loop area. The rule is that if you stop your suppose to pay the fee, and we're stopping. So I would plan on it. If they don't charge us then it will be a bonus. The group picture is going to be taken in the upper parking lot at Cascade Springs. It is a large parking lot that can easily handle 100 cars. There are restroom there (pit). We'll be there long enough for people to stretch their legs, get the picture taken, and visit for a couple of minutes. I decided against going through Heber City due that with the traffic and all the lights it will be impossible to keep everyone together. So we will be stopping for lunch at the Midway City Park, which is about 3.5 miles west of Heber City. There aren't any fast food places there, but there are a couple of small restaurants and a 7-11/Chevron Station. We'll stop for about an hour, so if people feel they want to make the drive into Heber City to get lunch you should be able to, just remember that it's going to cost you 15 minutes in travel time round trip. Once we leave Midway we'll have one more regrouping area just after we turn left off of Hwy 32 onto Hwy 40 to allow everyone time to get through the light. It will be on the right side of the road just past the light. Again there is a large shoulder. After we leave the last regrouping area it's full steam past Park City and back to SLC. We should be back in the SLC around 2:30pm. If anyone wants to down load and print the route map here's the link; dl.dropbox.com/u/92373034/Mopar%20Madness%202012%20Route.jpgFor those up in the north that want to meet up and cruise into SLC together we will meet at the Garcia's Mexican Restaurant on the south side of the Layton Hills Mall at 8am, leaving by 8:15am. Note sure of the turn out just yet. The most we've had so far is 54 cars. Let's see if we can beat that this year!

Sounds great! Depending on how many want to, I can see about getting us a group discount at the Arbys in Heber City. I will talk to the manager. I haven't been there in a long time. I don't know how big their parking lot is or anything. Just a thought for whose are interested!!!

Cant wait, I have to figure something out because I am coaching my daugther soccer team this year, maybe I can get one of the other dads to fill in for me this Saturday so I can join everyone. 54 cars is the goal to beat this year, I dont see that being too tough of a challenge. Thanks Gordon for organizing and putting this together.
