Hello everyone! My name is Matt and I have had my 07 Charger R/T AWD for about 2 years now. I ran into "Military Guy" at a car show in Jordan Landing and he told me about this forum. Happy ot be here. Currently living in West jordan. Just recently added: tint, K/N CAI, and Flowmaster super 44 mufflers. Only issue now is the strange clicking I have under the hood when I start up. Not sure how to best diagnose, so any ideas are welcome. Happy to be here and look forward to getting to know everyone.

Welcome from Magna. Hope to see you out. I attend the Jordan landing cruise nights from time to time in a 48 Chrysler royal. If you ever see it make sure to say high.

Will have to look into it. Excited to go out to some shows. Just started the mods but hoping for coilovers and rims in the next year.

Welcome from over here in W-Y-O...ming :-). Yes, there be a couple of us who travel the 176 miles to kick it with the SLC boys. Good times, good friends, great memories!
Anyway, hit up the calender. Its a link at the top of the home page. It'll lead the way for up coming events. Or, just jump into our events forum, halfway down the home page. As major events come about, Chris, Gordon, and Eddy do a great job of getting Admin emails to us as long as you're set to receive notifications from the forum.
Well, that's it in a nutshell! Now how about some pics of your car?
Have a good one!

Welcome to the family Matt! Here is what I've read up on concerning "hemi tick"
Remember that the Hemi tick consists of 3 separate noises . 1) the injectors make noise due to lack of lubricity in the fuel. ACES IV addresses that (Fuel Additive). 2) Intake and especially exhaust valves are ticking against the valve seats because they have no cushion left from the fuel. No more lead (obviously gone since Jan 1 1986) and not even any sulfur….that is a high pressure lubricant. Mix that with 10% ethyl alcohol and you have a really bad mix. Hammering basically metal to metal. 3) the short piston skirt on the hemi causes the piston to rattle in the bores in idle. This is why they add the moly coat to the skirt so that it will quiet down. As the engine gets some miles on it, the piston slap will get louder.
now I've also heard from a lot of forums its the EGR making the noise and if you have an aftermarket CAI you hear it even more. Also I noticed my injector tick a lot more after I stopped running the 5.7 engine cover. I shut my EGR off the other day with my predator as I purchased the EGR delete from BT but haven't removed it yet but haven't remembered to listen for a difference in the loudness of the tick! Just a few things for you to research on or think about! I will get back to you next time I listen to the car! Again welcome and glad you found us! Sent from my Nexus One using proboards

Looking forward to cruising with everyone. I will check out the calendar for the info.
thanks for the info on the Hemi tick. I was worried something was wrong, but everything I am hearing is it is pretty normal. I can deal with the noise so long as there is no damage being done.
