Has anyone done any checking into Stall Converters? Used to have one on my first wagon which greatly improved off the line launches. Last time I checked they only run about $300 or $400 and seems like a big bang for the buck. I'm considering it as a mod.

Which Pro Torque? I believe the 2 most common ones are 2800 & 3500. I am wanting to do this mod as well. It is on the short list of mods.

Not sure yet on the 2800 or 3500. Which one are you looking at 3500 might be too high, but not sure. I talked to a guy with a modified 94 Chev Impala SS that put a 3000 RPM stall converter in and calms it shaved off a full second in his qtr mile time. Said it was a lot easier to smoke the tires however. But he didn't notice any other difference under normal driving. Just want to make sure that I'm not creating any additional problems by doing this mod on the LX series. I'm not going to mess with the differential just yet as the traction control does a good job for now. When we get them, I'll help you guys put them in (time permitting of course). Hate to see you pay for the labor to pull the trans and put it back in. May not be as fast as a shop, but I'm sure this can be done in a day (if not two in a day).

From what I have been reading I might go with the 2800. I would love that because I would be able to shot my nitrous pretty much straight from the line
