For those of you that may not be aware, a member of our club passed away this morning, Brett Barrett. He has been fighting causer for some time and it appears it finally got the best of him. He was a very kind person that was friendly to anyone that he met. I was contacted by his son George today stating that they are making final arrangements for his funeral this Saturday at noon, and they would like to honor him by seeing just how many Mopar's they can get out. I know the weather isn't the best, but if you are interested please post so I can let George know who is interested.

He is going to be missed.
I think I will be able to support this. Do you know where?

That's terrible. I spent the whole night at mopars at the track talking with him. This is very saddening news. If there is anything I can do to help the family please let me know. May burn outs be your heaven

I am teaching a class in Murray that day until 1, but if it's in that area maybe I could show up late.

If I wasn't teaching a snowboard lesson I'd be there. Brett was a great guy, and I know he's been battling this for a while.
Definitely very knowledgeable, and the stories he could tell about the experience with his car were awesome to listen to.

Here's the schedule: there USA viewing this Saturday from 10-12, at Jenkins & Soffe on 4760 So State, Services starting at 12.
After, we want everyone there to escort Brett to the Cemetery, this will probably be about 1:15 to 1:30pm. I'm being told that anyone that wants to participate in the precession will need to be there by 11:45am.

Deepest and most sincere prayers and thoughts for George Barrett and his family. Brett was a very kind, caring and generous great man. He will be greatly missed. I am thankful for the opportunity to have met and become friends with Brett and his family. Not only was Brett a true car guy, he was a genuine people's person that everyone enjoyed being around. Brett practically gave me the 90mm throttle body I have on my car.
I will be there, wouldn't miss the chance to say my last farewell.

Though I do recognize the car and the face, I cannot say that I've had the wonderful pleasure of more than a hello. My deepest condolences to all. Brett, may your spirit live on in the hearts of those close to you and in the memories of those whose lives you touched. May you now be at peace. God bless you, your friends, and your family.
