I have a BBK 1781 85mm throttle body for sale for $225. New they list for over $400 new. The jury is out on horsepower gains. Some claim around 10 hp. More than power gains is the a noticeable increase in throttle response. Much snappier!

Did you just get a surplus of parts or opening up a parts shop  I hope this isn't a going back to stock sale? Good luck with sale. For what is worth, my larger throttle body required tune to richen it up. The more airflow caused car to throw a lean code. Not sure how much more airflow if created with 85mm over the stock 80mm but don't be surprised. That said, I'm loving my tb and I believe it has increased my hp. |

Chris, I'm selling off parts from my Jeep. I traded it and my 3500 in on a new 2500.
The rule of thumb on throttle bodies is that an 85 mm will work with stock to mild mods mainly improving throttle response. A 90 mm is too big unless the engine is heavily modded as in stroking or forced induction.

Congrats on the new purchase, I knew this wouldnt last long and I bet I have an idea on who purchased the 85mm Throttle body. Post pics of your new truck when you get a chance. And yes Phil is right, 85mm throttle body is ideal for lightly modded rides, 90mm and bigger are for engines that are "heavily" modifed. |
