Nope not touching the motor in the Mag. Said YOU were either getting a stroker or a 392! How's the progress coming? Nice timing for your edit... try to erase the evidence, call you OJ

I will be heading through Rock Springs on the 13th if you need anything brought up to you from Salt Lake? Hey, sorry I didn't respond sooner. I didn't anything form SLC but thanks for the offer, much appreciated. What brought you through good ol' RS on the I-80? If i wasn't actually working that day, could have burned a couple minutes to say hi. I'm guessing you already have gone back through?

We went up to Rapid S.D. for a vacation , it was a great trip. Did you hit up the Black Hills while you were there? I'm from there and we just went back through there in June to visit some family and we spent a night there in the Black Hills area. Beautiful area.

HA! I like suspense. Sorry, didn't mean to take so long. She's all done. Took it to Layton last week and man is that a nice change on the interstate. Could have done without the 18mpg but who cares... I didn't buy a bigger motor for better fuel. I'll add a few pics when I get some more time, maybe even a sound clip of the car at start up and so on. Still got to get it on the Dyno to dial in the tune, so unless Utah gets another AWD dyno, that means you guys Harrison. :-) Out with the old!!! Just setting torque on the heads after the camshaft was installed. She's ready to go in. Note the green machine in the background :-) Prepped to put engine back in... Engine is in, time to button up the fascia and radiator support. This is the shop we do the work in, that's just a body car we did an engine swap in and the car was flipped for a sale. The engine out of the green car ended up in this beast. This is Brians personal garage on his house for his Drag Car. Amazing power!

By the way Will can we consider you the pioneer of the first non JGCSRT8 that's awd & srt powered??? I cruise most of the forums regularly but have to say I haven't seen any topics on any other awd srt swapped lx's!

Patrick, I wish I could say I was the pioneer. But, there are at least half a dozen others out there that I've met over the past few months doing my research. I would say I may be the pioneer on the SLCLX, WYO-Mopars, and maybe even CO Mopars, but nationwide... I am not.
Otherwise, it is a pretty simple thing to do. Just need to plan ahead. The block is the same dimension, mounts the same, and so on. So, all I had to do was prep for things like the proper tuning as I had the PCM sent to AHMP in Florida to do a flash and sensor delete in the programming. They also did things like revised my torque tables as the 5.7 drivetrain is different than the 6.1 in many regards. I had to address headers and learned that the oval port of the 6.1 is what has been used on the 5.7, 6.1, and 6.4 since 2009 so I simply used a set of JBA shorty headers fitting the 2009 and up 5.7.
I studied a camshaft that I'd like the sound and response of, and we agreed the HHP Stage I Rumbler is where it would be. And, after my boy Brian who is a dealer for Comp Cams ordered the custom grind directly, I'm happy. Do I wish I had more, of course. I always will. But one fact remains that I have the AWD early gen and until I complete my next major mod, I can't go "huge" on the power.
If anyone can guess my next AWD mod to help handle the power, you studied. It is a rare thing to do but can be done... a hint, it takes a donor car :-)
