I love the charger but the challenger is the best looking new school model. I have to admit, I was torn between the Mag and the Challenger for about a month before deciding on the Mag.

Most people can't afford the SRT8 Challenger with dealers asking $45,000 to $55,000 on a used one. If I could sell mine for the right price and buy a Challenger with the right monthly payments I probably would change cars. All thought I do like my payments and insurance bill for the month on a sedan on steroids.

On the drag race catagory. I have a buddy who owns a mustang and he put slicks on a pair of 17" stock rims, I was thinking about borrowing them for Friday because in the old days chrysler and ford were interchangable. I heard that the ford bolt pattern is 5 by 114.3mm and my 300 is 5 by 115mm, could this cause some stress on the studs and possibly break them? I have heard of other 300's running 114.3 for all four rims as their daily rims. I'm just looking for a stronger launch out of the hole. I go to the drags quite often to watch and I see alot of wheel spinning which kills qtr mile times.

Yeah, I am not 100% sure if that offset would even align up. I say you maybe cutting it very close. If it does work, keep in mind the 14inch disc, you also have to clear. Mine is cutting it dang close, I would say by few mm. You could always get bigger studs. In my opinion, I say you find one of our fellow members who has the 17in stock set up such as I did, and just buy theirs at the family discount price. Thanks again Greg, Good looking out. I would check with Eric(hemifuk) he bought the other 2 from Greg and may need the money more than the 17's since he is still running the stock tires that came with it.

We are racing under the Mopar Club Class, but I am sure either way they would know what you were talking bout. They say the earlier the better. I will be getting there by 430-445 hopefully for the tech inspection and to hopefully avoid the last min rush of everyone getting there around 5-6pm. I guess if you get there earlier enough you can pretty much have some practice runs. Here is the thread regarding info for RMR; slclx.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=slclxevents&action=display&thread=104&page=1

Thanks for the info SRT801, I will probably be there around 4pm so I can knock off some of the rust on my reaction times.
I will probably try and test fit my friends rims to see if there is any clearance issues. If everything goes good maybe I will have some traction aid in the form of slicks.
Don't forget to wear pants and shoes no summer attire(i.e. shorts and sandals) or the won't let you race. I heard it's supposed to be 99 degrees on Friday... that's too d**n hot, so bring refreshments the non alcoholic kind.
I will see you all out there I will be the Silver 300 SRT8 with LED tails, tint and the plate that reads SRTXLR8.
