The Website is www.autorama.com/casi/show/saltlakecity.phpThis is a car show that many of the customer car makers look forward to as they give away some serious awards. A fair amount of trailer queens show up for this. Here are some of the awards that will be given away. Best Street Machine / Comp $600 Best Rod $600 Best Custom $600 Best Truck $600 Best Restored $600 Best Club Display $400 Outstanding Club Display $100 Outstanding Club Display $100 Outstanding Custom Rod $250 Outstanding Street Rod $250 Outstanding Altered Rod $250 Outstanding Custom $250 Outstanding Competition $250 Outstanding Off-Road $250 Outstanding Contemporary $250 Outstanding Full/Rad Custom $250 Outstanding Full/Rad Truck $250 Outstanding Sports $250 Outstanding Restored $250 Outstanding Truck $250 Outstanding Street Machine $250 Outstanding Display $250 The MOU group always has a group of cars in this show. Normally it is around 10 to 16 cars. If I remember right the entry fee last year was $50.00 per car. Due to the limited amount of space they have, the MOU group is getting the list of cars that want to participate and then will work from there based on what best fits the display they are working on. I didn't see the rules post yet, but here are some of the key ones that I remember. You must have less then an 1/8 of a tank of gas, gas cap must be lockable or taped off, battery must be disconnected at all times. Once the car is parked during set up, it has to remain in place for the term of the show for the three days. Again we have a lot of cars that would qualify to be entered into this show. Hope that helps!

if the battery is disconnected, how do you show off the lights then? I was talking to Karl on the UHP 911 cruiser and he has some type of a plug on it that they are able to plug a power supply in to 120V power to keep the lights going for as long as they need. Might what to check into what he's done.

For those that want to go, I believe SLCLX and MOU is doing this show jointly. With that being said, I do believe they have 12 spots total and of those 12, they are looking for 4 LX (300, Magnuim, Charger and LY(Challenger)... There is only 4 spots possible, not sure if that is counting the UHP911 car. I know that many have expressed interest, and if you still plan or wish on going, Please get with Gordon (440gordy) as soon as possible. Not sure how they are going to select 3 other cars from this amazing collection of rides from this club. Glad I dont have the task I say 3 cars, because I believe Gordon's SRT8 Magnum is one of the 4.

I'm definitely interested in putting my car in this show. We'll see who gets picked. If we could get one of each LX, that would be great.

Yes, the 4 spots include the 911 Charger, so that leaves three. I met with Karl today and he confirmed that it will be at the show.
I would be nice to have everyone's cars in the show, but there just isn't enough room. After talking it over with Lee at MOU, we are hoping to get a good representation of the LX plat form. So with three spots we are looking for one Charger, one Magnum, and one Challenger. There is a specific theme that is being set up and the cars need to match that theme. If anyone has any questions please PM me.
Even tho there is a limited number of spots in the joint area, you can always send an entry form in on a individual bases and see if you can get your car in. You can also try and request to be put near the other cars. JC Hacket has just limited the number of slots the clubs get.
Thanks!

First its the Chargers and Coffee and now this. No love at all. j/k it gives me a year at least for 2011 and to get allthe mods i want done and hopefully be able to enter then. Maybe we should open a poll to see who gets to represent the 3 classes that are available.

And Eddy, no worries, there isnt very many of us 3Hundy Owners on the forum here and beside, I couldnt part without car for Week, well I guess I could, but to be honest I am not much for carshows. Dont get me wrong, I love the M&Gs and events and carshows done as a large group that last for few hours.

Aw man, 300's left out again. Wish we could, just that the other three seem to match the theme better. But till working on the Challenger and Magnum. Two Chargers are locked in.
