You can always remove the plastic cover! To do what? To have the intake manifold power coated.

ok, I have two manifolds I need done, but I need help getting them off ;D One would be red and the other would be blue. Any chance we can see some of his work? I can help you. It's a small enough job that I can bring tools with me and it shouldn't take very long. I would recommend replacing the gasket when it's put back on however. I would like to do mine and I would go with red. But it would be nice to match the Tora Red if possible, or at least as close as possible. I may also be interested in the rims. If he's done these before it would be nice to see some pictures on his work, both intake and rims. I also note this guy is trust worthy. Thanks Gordon! Yes, this is an incredible price. These other vendors are charging around 400 to powdercoat.

You cant powdercoat plastic I guess your not catching what I'm saying. Take the plastic off, your manifold underneath looks the same as ours. Power coat the intake manifold just a we are. Then all you'd have to do is find a cover for just the valve covers.

They either paint there manifold or upgrade to an SRT manifold. EDIT: wait a minute... Are you talking about the engine cover?? because if you are our manifolds are not the same. Ours are plastic.

Hola folks. I am the powder coater in question. Many of you have seen my work. If you were at the Mopar show at LHM in sandy, you probably saw all the TECHCO Supercharger kits on display with the API stuff. I did all those I dont know I have ever looked at the stock manifolds on your cars, if they are plastic, they are MOST LIKELY POLYESTER BASED COMPOSITE, meaning they can be powder coated. If they are metal, then they too can be powder coated. I have very close matches to Tora Red, the Orange color, the Black Metallic, I have enough silvers I am sure I can come up with something as well. to see more of my work you can to go www.myspace.com/unknowncoatingsmy website is www.unknowncoatings.com but we are in the middle of redoing the online gallery, so myspace is your best bet.

Oh and here is super wet black Tora Red Orange (matches paint, not the engine orange) Metallic Black I also do the wheels for a few major wheel and tire places here locally. usually a 1-2 day turn around.

Hardly drive it right now. Maybe my brakes if you can colormatch. I might need you to check out my engine bay sometime to see what you can do.

Thanks for posting, I've seen your work at Karl's on the Techno Superchargers and your work looks great! Here is what the stock manifold looks like. The question I have has to do with the texture of the stock manifold as they are not smooth, but look like this; Will powder coating smooth out this finish? Or will it still have a textured look to it?

blasting then coating will smooth it out quite a bit. Especially if I lay down a coat of clear over the base.

This the 5.7L manifold Wow, for some reason I thought for sure the 5.7 intake was case like the 6.1, I guess I was wrong. I guess that tells you how often I had the cover off of my 5.7 when I had it. No wonder I had you questioning my comment. Sorry about that!
