ROFL! keep dreaming I would only buy a techo if it was really cheap but 5500 is way too much for a company that no longer exists. Remember, no matter how good a manufacture is, parts can and will wear out. With a Techo were are you going to get replacement parts?

Thats why i said really cheap. If i payed 2grand or less i would consider it. Side note: isnt SMS have about the same blower? i mean they look exactly the same.

While the say the SC are just relabeled, I would guess there are some small differences. You could hope that Techco and SMS parts are interchangeable. Is anyone willing to gamble the 7500 to 5000 they are still asking for the Techco?

Plus with SMS, it's backed by Steve Saleen and he makes some pretty sweet nasty products.

I have done some research and a few friends back east are running Vortech SC's on their SRT-8's and really like them, their cars are modded with cat back exhausts and the SC's only with canned Vtec tunes. A question for Kellie how did you find running the Pro charger with the canned tune, any issues or part failures? The Bee is a daily driver (weather permitting) and will make round trips to NY once to twice a year.

No issues with the canned tune but it was not running to it's fullest potential. It was running fuel rich which is safer than running lean, but it is a waste of fuel and could lead to problems later. For the guys running the canned Vortech have they had this checked? My guess is the canned tuned are running fuel rich for safety, hence the reason to get a cmr tune.
Karl is getting about 60 more horses out of it. Needless to say I'm excited to give a try after he is done.

Curious to see what gains ya picked up with CRM tune!

I can't remember what the number were exactly, I think around 400 to the wheel. Karl thinks he can get me to around 460. 460 * 1.23% = 560 to the crank. That sounds about right as Procharger claims an additional 100-150 horsepower. 560 - 425 = 135 hp gain. Although Karl also added a larger pulley, so they may add some too?

An update on the SC project, I got called out by the Misses on this just the other day she said " Sooo 85mph with a 10k SC is different the 85mph right now.... how ?" The best I could come up with that quick, is " Well Janell you see at 85mph with a 10k SC you and you car are 200% cooler and that cool fun factor relieves tension, and as you know Hun tension is a killer" not sure I'm winning this one but I am stubborn and if I have to hook the garden hose into the intake and blow into the motor I will.
