I met up with a guy at MATS in Vegas who sells a spare tire kit for all LX body cars. I met him the previous year but he only had a flyer then. This year I saw the kit installed in his Charger and it looks totally factory. It goes in the bottom of the trunk space completely under the trunk floor. I don't have the flyer with me but if I remember right it comes with a temporary spare that is the correct diameter, a jack, a lug wrench and mounting hardware.
He developed the kit after he got a flat tire and the can of goop that our cars come with didn't do a thing. He had to call a wrecker and the front of his car was beat up to the tune of $2,000 trying to slide it onto the flatbed.
He does discounts and I think he said free shipping with group buys. So, what do you think? I'm buying a kit but will wait to buy as a group if there is any interest. Let me know sooner than later if you want in. I can post the flyer when I get back to Utah this week.

I forgot to mention that the regular price is around $400. Once I see if there is any interest and get a rough count I can get a firm price.

I have a 17inch Stellie from Gregs' Magnum as a spare. I think I can get it in my trunk, I havent really tried to be honest. I saw the spare kit on eBay for around $400 and while that is worth it based off our little delay to SpringFest, its a little too rich for my blood right now.

I'm back home now. The actual cost of the kit is $479 and the group discount is $35 for five to nine orders and $50 for ten or more. So far it doesn't look like there will be enough interest for a group buy unless some of the MOU guys pony up too.
Chris, that smaller spare may not fit over your brakes. You should try it on to make sure. Also, the spare in the kit is as big will fit in the trunk space. You want the spare to be as close to the same diameter as the normal tires or you could possibly damage the rear end if you drive it very far. This is more critical on the '09s with true positraction.

You are correct on not fitting over the front brake/disc/caliper but they do fit over the back ones. Very close fit but it works. R/Ts shouldnt have any clearance issues.
