I posted on the facebook page yesterday, but I figured I would pop in here to say Hi as well.
I am the proud owner of a 2006 GoMango Daytona R/T, purchased from a club member, Ken. This car is incredible. I don't have any pics of my own of the car right now but I will get a few tomorrow probably. I can't say for 100% certainty what all the mods are but the list is really endless.
I'm not new to the 5.7 Hemi, I have a 2005 Dakota that I bought an '06 Durango 5.7 for, cam/rods/springs, with headers and highflow cats. Did the swap in my garage, didn't have a cherry picker so I used a 3 ton come-along strapped to my ceiling joists haha. That was a 178hp truck, that now dynos at 295hp 305tq, tq is higher now since I changed from 3.55s to 4.10s. It's quick for a truck, but this car is a whole other ball game.
The car has a fully built 5.7 with what I assume are 392 Apache heads, SRT shorty headers, Eagle intake manifold, forged manly pistons, rods, 6.1 crank, 6.1 oil pump, and the 392 cam.. and I'm told there's a mild bore that may have brought the displacement up a bit. After the exhaust manifolds are a pair of turbonetics 61mm turbos and it's 3" straight piped after that. It runs 12lb of boost and has dyno'd over 700hp...
My journey now is to upgrade the drivetrain to handle all that power. Ken was great to work with and gave me a rebuildable spare trans that I will be able to use as core or to be built.
I'm happy to be a member of the LX family. I'm still very attached to my Blue Hemi Dakota, but this flashy beast is growing on me fast. I'll see if I can mingle on the Modern Mopars website a bit too.
