Tuff Shine group buy

I called Bob at Tuff Shine today and asked about a group buy for his products. His reply was that he is more than happy and willing to help out a local car club. So here is his offer:

His "tire appearance kit" retails for $21.95 (the same kit Rob posted the video about). If we get 10 buyers for this kit the new price would be $20.00 tax included.

He also sells a "Spray & Shine" kit that he is willing to offer a group buy on. It retails for $8.95 and will sell it for $8.00 tax and bug sponge included. This product is used by Provo Universal helicopters with great results in keeping the bugs off the front of their helicopters.

This is a quote from an email I received from Bob to save us shipping:

"As a suggestion, and to avoid the extra shipping cost, I could tabulate all the orders that you provide to me and either meet you or someone else at a designated point and deliver everything to that one person. It would require that you or someone else would be responsible for collecting all the money from each interested party and have available when we meet……just a thought to save the shipping. Also, and unfortunately, I am required to charge sales tax, but can round it off to save the hassel. As an example the sales tax on $19.00 is $1.25 and the sales tax on $7.95 is $.53. So if I charge an extra buck for the Tire Appearance Kit and and extra $.50 for the Spray & Shine, I can cover the rest. That way it makes it easy to compute for everyone."

I think this is a great idea cuz shipping could avegage $8-10 for the kit. Does anybody wanna volunteer to collect the money? I would but I think it shoud be someone around the Sandy area to make the transaction/pick-up easier. I can give $20 to this person this Saturday at the Autorama M & G for the "tire appearance kit."

Dave and or all,
I am going to meet with Bob tomorrow at 4:00pm because I am going to buy some tire shine and detailer but I didn't know how long it would take for a group buy to get done, but I could pay and pick up for all on the list that is going to the M&G Saturday and everyone can pay me back at the M&G.
But I would like the confirmation of repayment today and have money ready on Saturday from each person on the list so I am not stuck with way too much of the stuff and so I can let Bob know how much to bring for my pick up.
Also if you guys want to grow the group buy no issues here just trying to kill two birds with one stone.
Send PM's today if this is what we want to do either way I am meeting with him Friday @ 4:00pm

I just got the specifics from Bob he said he would do 20.00$ tax included for the tire shine and 8.00$ tax included for the detailer. He lowered the detailer so we wouldn't have to mess with change.

Dave not trying to steal your glory just figured I had made plans to go out there before I saw the group buy and figured I would help everyone out by picking it up and distributing it at the M&G

OK new and hopefully final plan.
I just spoke to Bob and he is planning on coming to the M&G Saturday like Pogo informed me so I told Bob to bring his products and and we will bring our money and we can buy it directly from him at the M&G

I am sure you could continue the GB for those who are not going to make the Autorama M&G and hook up with him at a later date.

No glory stolen here Ed! Thanks for clearing it up and trying to hook us up. I was gonna post that Bob was coming to the M & G and then I read your post and it confused me a lil' bit... That's cool of Bob to meet us this Saturday so don't forget to bring your cash people!
