Going to be a beast for sure. Cant wait to see it all done! What PSI are you planning on running? IMHO, I would reconsider the springs and lowering it and put that money towards some much needed upgraded halfshafts & LSD setup. I know many folks have stated our halfshafts cant handle anything more than 450-475RWHP safely without snapping halfshafts. We are running 6 pounds of boost. I will talk to dave about the halfshafts. Thnx for the input on the lowering, somthing to deff consider. |

Congrats on the build! There are some Test and Tunes coming up this month at RMR, would love to see it run if it's ready!
I agree with Chris, I'd put the money into half shafts instead of lowering. Not sure how lowering an SRT will affect the performance of the suspension?

Will adjustable coilovers lower it much? These would at least give you some room to adjust the height, if necessary.
Go with an 09 challenger rear differential (hope I'm speaking the right language) and the lsd.

I was indeed going to use KW-V2 coilovers, but am going to put that on hold and have Dave look into the posi rear and halfshafts, this is why I Love our group members looking out for eachother thnx guys  |

Just got an update on my biuld from Dave, all the parts are machined the S/C is ready, Karl is building the 2 remaining brackets and the intercooler. Dave hopes to be ready to start next week. So one more week np done quick or done right... I'll take done right especially when it's done by the 2 best people. I'll keep the thread posted on pregress.

Hey Sean, I was at Hinckley Race Shop shooting breeze with Dave. Sounds like your car is coming along really nice with the S/C, Rims ,and springs. I inquired with him bout the halfshaft because yours is an 06-08 I believe and the 09s came with a beefer shaft 226mm over the 215mm. You may really want to look into that as well or least be prepaired if halfshaft snap with you new found power. I hope that doesnt happen, but I think Ben and Greg had to replace theirs already and you have alot more power with a wider tire too.
Not to curse or jinx ya, but more of a heads up.

Indeed I talked to him about the halfshafts, Dave seemed confident that mine would hold up, thier rating seems like it will be cutting it really close and I am thinking as you are better to replace them and know they are stronger then to have a failure far from home. It looks to be a nice result. I also ordered a Flat black X hair and grill as well as flat black roofline and rear spoilers, should go great with the flat black wheels.

If not, I will make the drive up that way, to check out your car & go for a quick spin ;D Oh, I forgot to mention that Dave enjoyed all of us coming out and invited us to come back anytime as we are always welcome there. He like the club so much, that he recently bought an 08 Magnum. Great looking car for sure, he got the 3.5L but knowing him, he is going to have something great instore for her. So hopefully that will be some inspiration that V6 have alot of potential and there can be some big HP gains if desired. |
