Just curious what every ones take is? I currently have a dry filter, and I like it, but I wonder if there are Pros & cons for both type of Air filters. I hear the Oil filters can dirty your Throttle body & intake manifold( I know get a catch can). Are Dry filters just as effective as far as capturing air, I noticed my filter is getting a lil dusty, Going to take air compressor to it & clean it.

oil filters catch smaller particals, like dust. So I was headed down to your store Thurs night, but I didnt know if you would be there. I was going to buy an oiled filter to replace my dry filter, so I just took the air compressior to my filter and blew out alot of dust and lil fine rocks. I didnt see any oil in my CAI, so I guess no need for catch can til I make the switch. Oh, I was going to ask you, is K&N filter worth the $50 bucks or will the $24 filters (knock off brand) do the same. How much can ya get 180 Jet T stat for???

wow, many q's. 1) The oil from the engine that the catch can catches is coming from the pcv system. It is being sucked straight into the intake, so you wont see it unless you take off the air intake hose and hold open the throttle plate. THEN you will see it. 2) KnN for 50, plus a ten dollar cleaning kit, will last over 100K miles. Stock filter at 25 each will MAYBE last 24K miles. So, you need at least 4 filters at 96 bucks to last as long as 60 worth of KnN. So, if you will have the car for over 50 miles, its cheaper to have the KnN, and it breathes better. I have a great display in the store. First you put a regular Fram filter in the box, and a fan draws air through it, and fulles it out a vertical pipe. There is a ping pong ball in there that wont float with the fram. Then you put the KnN in there and it pushes the ball right to the top. KnN filters pass MUCH more air. 3) I dont carry Jet t stats, but I have another aftermarket 180 stat for 16 bucks. Part number 4128. I have had one in my car almost 2 years.

I'll have to check. We do carry duplicolor paints. We have some of their wheel paints, but cannot remember if Satin Black is one of them. I'm not a vendor because while I run an autozone, I am not the owner of it, and Autozone could get torqued off.
