Talked with Karl yesterday about the jeep. Got to see lots of pretty new diamond pistons cut for adding a blower and custom made connecting rods. Karl explained the process of building up the bottom part of the engine, then the top, then taking everything apart, then rebuilding it again! What a process. Karl is certainly a master of this art. He is looking to get a really aggressive cam that they have used in corvettes.
When we were in California for SF, we had a highly modified Corvette next to us (we were in the truck). He had a super sweet lope and Kath's eyes got really big! She said that she wanted the jeep to sound like that! Well, it might not sound exactly like the Corvette but you will know it has had some serious work.
I think we are still several weeks out but I'm pretty stoked about the build.
Dang it! I should have taken pictures.

Sounds like a great build! Is Karl putting a 426 stroker kit in? What super charger are you going with?

Looking forward to seeing & hear the Jeep! Is Kathy getting the Vortect installed along with 426 Stroker kit?

Yes, the 426 Stroker with the Vortech SC. Vortech has consistently been the best SC for the jeep based on the forums. A similarly build jeep was running in the 10's at Vegas. The next replacement may be the transmission. It will depend upon how hard we beat on it.

Should be awesome. I drove my father-in-laws brand new GCSRT8 a few weeks ago...man, they just feel fast anyway totally stock.
A S/C'd 426 is going to definitely need a new transmission sooner rather than later...especially in a Jeep where you can't get away with tire spin which goes easier on the transmission.
I have been tracking down a weird lock-up issue in my transmission, most likely in the torque converter. I ended up melting down and besides a new TC, ordered a Southern Hot Rod transmission...lol.
