Sounds good to me. What're you doing paint wise? Giant Transformers logos on the sides? Thanks, I'm soooo anxious to get the car back and see the difference!!

Ben, if you get your car back before like 5ish on wednesday we should go cruise around, and I have a secret drag strip type place I do runs on at night that cops can't patrol (I've hit 122 before the mods...should hit at least 135 after) these cars do very well at high speeds, less twitchy than the viper we used to have I hit 125 getting off the on ramp to highway ;D Just playing, but no really. I wanna check this place out, I have the GTech Pro SS which can calculate your 0-60 mp and quarter time, along with HP. Its a rough estimate on HP, cant remember what HP my was showing, but quarter mile was 13.11 @ 107.7 & 0-60 was 5.07 Anyhow, I cant wait to see your car with the new mods, Going to be a real beast. I would guess around 450-460 hp at the crank or 385-395RWHP at the wheels. What were you thinking, Oh Yeah You are doing the RMR with us right?

Well the new 5.7's are underrated at 375. Most of them are producing about 387 at the crank, just like the new Ram's with the same engine in it. I should be at around 475 at the crank theoretically but we'll see when I get it dyno'd. I've done a little of the 0-60 in my car with my phone and I can get it to about 5 seconds flat on a really good run. Ok, showing my newness...whats this RMR? Rocky mountain raceway? And ben, I agree the transformers would look a bit ridiculous (was being sarcastic earlier) but the murdered out will be AWESOME!!! You painting the wheels too or just the body?

Just the body. I don't have time to do the rims before Spring Festival.

There is a series of drag racing events this summer for street cars (any car that is street legal and registered), 5 to be exact with one every month. The MOU (Mopars of Utah) club was approached to see if they would like to participate as a club as there will be other car clubs participating (Chevy, Corvette, etc..). There are several guys from the MOU group that are going to participate, however they need 15 cars to qualify as a group on their own. They don't have enough to qualify on their own as some of the cars are not street legal (set up for drag racing) or they are restored classics. We're trying to team up together to see if we can get 15 cars without having to team up with another small club. It would be nice to have a showing of Mopar Muscle. Racing in a quarter mile doesn't put much stress on the LX series as they have been built for it. Because it is bracket racing you don't have to have the fastest car to win. You'll get a time slip after each run showing your reaction time and quarter mile time (official!). There is a lot of details on the RMR tread.

That'd be soooo much fun! I'd be all for that, assuming the dad also agrees to it. Who all is doing it from SLCLX?

I'm letting my 16 year old daughter drive my Mag for these races (I'll let her do the drags and I'll take the track ;D). Depending on the car I don't think you'll be getting much over 100mph. It's all very controlled and safe. As long as you don't do burn outs it really isn't that hard on the tires either. Bring dad along! Again check the RMR thread.

That sounds like a blast, these cars are great at 100+ so I wouldn't be worried about that. Thanks for the info

I agree, until I put some new springs/upgraded brakes on the challenger I don't think I wanna take it around a track as much as I REALLY want to hit an actual drag strip and not a private road in vineyard.

IT'S DONE!!!! This car sounds SOOOO much better now than it used to! The power is WAY up and I think I could keep up with pretty much all of you SRT's when it's all broken in and such as long as they aren't modded much. I got sooooo many more looks and thumbs up than I usually do in a few hour cruise in about 20 minutes just driving around, and I didn't think that was possible in a car under $100,000!!! These cars are amazing and the extra power from just bolt-ons is seriously awesome!!! I'll be at the Autorama show tomorrow afternoon so if anybody stops by you should look for my car.

Changing Richard name from BYUchallenger to SRT8 beater, Jack let me tell ya, it was super torquey (is that a word). I know most hemi can push you back to your seat, but I was really surprised how well Ricard's car got up to speed. Cant wait to see it at RMR. Nicely done Richard.
