I am going to take off the bezel around the stereo and temp controls and color match it to my car. Anyone taken it off? How do you do this delicately?

I found this write up for a stereo install but it includes the removal of the center bezel, thought it might help. www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=39900As for painting, I did a little on my last Charger. I used a very fine sandpaper and sanded the part to be painted, then I used an adhesion promoter, then painted light coats one at a time. Make sure to let completely dry before applying another coat of paint or it just becomes thick and sticky looking. Afterward I gave 3 coats of clear and let dry for 12 hours then reinstalled. What I did turned out really nice and it was my first time doing any of it. |
