I don't know if others are experiencing this same problem, but my rear tires are going bald so quick. The rubber seems to come off and stick all over my rear fender. Is this a common problem with the R/T?? Is there anything I can do to fix this? ;D ;D ;D

No no no, the most common cause of this problem is the loose nut behind the wheel!

What current tires are you running now? My goodyear RSA bald faster than normal too, but the treadwear is 200 which I believe is average. What tires are you looking to replace em with? And you are coming out to the End of year Cruise Right? I hope to have my new rear tires by time Cruise comes around too. Thanks again Richard(2quick)

My wife says there in no help for the loose nut, but maybe I should wear lighter shoes. I run the Good year RSA's, and this is my second set in the rear and I have only 30K on the odometer. They wear evenly and all but when I accelerate they seem to smoke and splatter on the fender.....hummm is that normal?? I guess I should tak it to the track. I ve never been to the offical track here in Utah, When is the next run out there?

The RSAs are crap and if you smoke your tires, they get all over the inside of the fender. I first tried Nitto 420s and their grip was so much better then the RSAs. Then I went with a 275/45/20 Eagle GTIIs and the grip on that was even better and left no rubber when I spun it. Now I have Lexani 315/35/20s in the back.

I know Gordon and the rest of the club racer would love to have you there, as they probably took 2nd again in the point total. I believe the RMR track season is done for the year(this past weekend). Wendover has open track on Sundays, but track isn't nearly as nice as RMR, but you get alot more seat time, which is good for practicing your reaction time. Next Club season if they do it will start in first part of May, if they stay true to the previous 2 yrs. Test & Tune usually starts in Mid/Late April if I recall. I will be out there next year for sure, and hope you and many others can participate too. Its allot of fun and you can legally & safely opening engine up to 105-115MPH ;D And now that I have an extra pair of 20s for the track, I am sticking on Nitto NT05R or Nitto NT555R, both are drag radials.

I have a terrible problem with the stupid check engine light coming on all the time. Nothing better than spinning wheels, bald tires, and then nothing...

As Ben said, going with a better and wider tire on the rear is the answer. My first set of tires were the Eagle F1's, those tires gripped very well and lasted to about 15K miles even with dragging and smoking them from time to time. In fact those are the tires I'm smoking in the picture on my signature line, just before I went to have the new tires put on.
I'm now running Nito INVO 285's in the back. They seem to be grabbing as well as the Eagle F1's but weren't as pricey.
Would love to have you come out and race with us next year. But if your tires are spinning that easy your going to have to get something that's going to grip so you can get off the line without the tires breaking loose.
Good luck!

The Predator seems to be the hands down favorite across the LX community. I love mine and can tell the difference just with the Canned tune. So Yeah, I would say this is a must and probably the best mod for the buck! Stan, what do you have done so far? Most start with the basics, Programmer(chip), Cold Air Intake and 180Tstat, Exhaust set up is great, but for the hp gain vs cost, most would debate. I would opt for it, cause it does help on the top end and makes for great sounding man music
