Has anyone painted their stock grille? How easy to do is taking out the grill and reinstalling?

There are some pretty good tutorials online, just gotta find them. I was going to attempt it but didnt lol. I just got my chrome grill out with the black honeycomb / black grill ;D its pretty cheap

I just did this very thing this weekend. I was trading out the stock grill for a honeycomb and took that opportunity to paint the crosshairs. It turned out very nice. Painting over the chrome can sometimes lead to some rocks taking off the black paint, even if you use truck bead liner. I found out that if you use a razor blade, you can peel the chrome off the grill. Then sand and paint. The paint stays on even with rock chips. Took me about 2 hours to get the chrome off.
