ordered my cam from 402. When I went to install it, it wasnt ground properly. We had 3 guys all doing cams in Vegas, and flew in a guy from Michigan for the installs. Paid his airplane ticket and 300 bucks or so each. Was a great price for a cam install. Anyways, we call Franks, who gave us some info. Realized cam was messed up. We ended up using a dremel to custom grind my cam in the garage. Got it installed. good deal. Anyways, called 402 to see whatg they would do about the whole mess, of selling me defective stuff. Made it work but thats besides the point. They basically said f**k you, the problem is comp cams, since they ground the franks design. I told them, "I paid YOU the money, you are responsible" and they basically said, again, f- you. So F them. d**nnnnnnnnn

Yeah, that was a helluva night. We spent 2 hours trying to get that cam in there. Then we started making phone calls. None of the bearing seats were tapered at the rear edge, so we could not get it to go in. Imagine this: I have the cam wrapped in a towel, and am turning it by hand while Erik had the dremel and was grinding a taper at the edge of each bearing seat. An hour of grinding, and then in 10 minutes, we had the thing in there.

I was a little bit, but, the car was in pieces. The heads were off, exhaust off. It was friday night, and the mechanic fly early sunday morning. Putting two cars which were still in pieces back together would take at least 6 hours with three of us. No way we could get a new one on a saturday with time to get it done. I had 200 bucks worth of installation parts, gaskets, coolant, etc, and I didnt wanna buy that all again when I DID get a good cam, so we took our chances and went careful. I still almost **** myself.

I figured that the worst thing that would happen was I would slide my stock cam back in and sue the crap out of them for wasting my parts and money for the tech. I've also rebuilt motors and replaced d**n near everything, so I wasnt TOO scared. By the way Greg I need that dremel back! LOL

if you are willing to cut holes in the frame, your exhaust could come right out those ports

The install was ok. They are not just plug and play. They have to be trimmed a little to get them to fit. Talon helped me with the install through PM's. Now that I know how to do it. It shouldn't take more than an hour.
