For those that are thinking bout upgrading throttle bodies, one word ot the wise, get longer bolts I dont know why I thought the OEM would work, they are bout hlaf inch too short with the new Arrington 90mm Throttle body. Now the car is all torn apart & of course my wife took the Civic to work, and I have to run down to Lowes or Home Depot to get longr bolts to get car all back together before the wife knows the wise lol. Anyone in the West bench near by wanna swing me by Lowes or Home Depot down the street? I was going to take pictures, but the dang camera is dead and memory card is full. But this thing is huge compare to the stock one, studies show mix results, most say there is a gain, other say not really, but I figured I would give it a shot as I am going to do more work down the road and I got a killer deal Courtesy of Brett (budman) w/ "Twin Turbo SRT Orange Challenger" Big Thumbs Up & Thanks Brett on the killer deal. You freaking rock! Will let everyone know what the seat of pants verdict is Saturday. I should get her back on the dyno but I will probably wait after I get stage 3 ported Intake manifold.

Well I know it's a lot later now, but do you still need a ride? Thanks Harrison much appreciated, I just borrowed my neighbor/friend car. I got the right bolts and got it install, just to run into another small road block, the elbow opening in the Throttle body side is too small, so I am going to have to get a wider opening elbow, I thought bout heating it up but I still think it will be a far strecth, so hopefully I get this worked out before Saturday

Tell me about it, I just hope I dont have to order the part and that someone local like Karl @ API or speed shop has one in stock. If I have to order it, I will be out of this weekend Test & Tune My question is... did the wife catch you yet and are you grounded!!! :-) LOL, not yet. I am sure she will figure it out & I will have to make it up to her, but as long as the car doesnt get any louder I should be okay, this is a wife approved mod.

I got the new 90mm throttle body installed & my first thoughts, is there is definitely a gain in performance. How much, I couldn't tell you, but there is certainly a seat of the pants difference, maybe its the placebo effect. The throttle is feels alot more responsive & when I got on it lightly, the car was sliding every where, of course the roads were wet lol so go figure. This is one of those mods, I wish I would have done before gears, limited slip differential & torque convertor to see how much of a difference there really is. I can will say this is a great mod to do, if you plan on installing Cold Intake, doing Ported intake manifold, or heads or headers. It is like a puzzle and it feels like everything is slowing coming together.
May have to go back to dyno soon, thinking I am going to wait for ported/polished intake manifold.

that's why I bought the C&L aluminum intake, it was the only intake currently available to fit the 90's with no step up elbows or collars. mine currently steps down to the stock tb but when I get a new one it'll be a straight shot, so im lucky there! glad you got it all going, im super jealous of all the work you've been doing, by far the sexiest srt 300 ive seen and just as much muscle to go with the looks, I would love a wolf in sheeps clothing like that (although I would never say the 300 is anything sheepish) sometimes I wish I went with an srt 300! still never been for a ride in that beast though

I will for sure take ya for a ride anytime, but its probably not that much different than your Charger. I love the sleeper, wolf in sheep clothing effect. When I pulled up to the gate at RMR, the guys at the gate were thinking, what in the world . Hey what size is the throttle body on the R/Ts? I imagine the same 80mm.

yep stock is same 80, its way down the road for me as im no 6.1 with other mods to accommodate that 90! without some other mods and some porting etc. and a new cmr i'd run far to lean! I probably bog myself down with way to much research but just like you said it is a giant puzzle a bunch of pieces working together for the big picture! GO FAST! did you notice any adverse affects? as example I put a larger tb on my pickup gained mids and highs but lost torque on the bottom end! your doing all the right things in the right order though so probably just getting better all the time! and no way man, my RT is no SRT, maybe after some heads and cam with all my current work will be 6.1 power but your beyond that already!
