Well, this all started after I decided I did not like the standard nitrous hookup to a factory fuel rail/line.
I decided to use the CPR rails, one because of the 1/8" NPT port on the rail, and ease of installation. Needless to say they are a great looking rail, and functional.
The first problem I ran into is the NPT port should be on the passenger side. I apparently have the only production rails with the port on the driver side lol. And yes, I am sure. Anyone who has these rails are familiar with the chamfer cutouts on the bottom of the rail. The one with the NPT port has the bigger cutout to go around the fuel filler neck on the 5.7 intake manifold.
This threw a wrench into the nitrous fuel line due to now having to cross over the engine, and the wires for the emergency fuel pressure unit are too short. This will be fixed soon.
The other issue I ran into with the installation is the front crossover will not work on this setup due to the Nitrous Outlet plate location. So, off to do a rear crossover. On the 5.7 there is absolutely no room on the passenger side to get the factory fuel plug to fit so I put it on the drivers side..you can see the "T" with the adapters in the pictures.
Other than those problems the install went great. If you follow the directions you should have no issues. I just wanted to post this for information to other 5.7-ers that are thinking of these rails, or anyone using these rails with a N20 setup.
Driver side fuel rail that will have a manifold, gauge, fuel pressure cutoff and fuel line in the NPT port.
Connection to the existing fuel line.
Passenger side crossover connection.
N20 connections, now I have to get a longer fuel due to the NPT on the drivers side.
Put back together.
