I picked up a front and rear VDI kit this weekend for $150 bones! A good friend of mine in Jersey is selling his magnum and while talking to him yesterday i told him he should pull off his front kit and sell it to me. He told me as long as I pay shipping he would send them to me but i would have to take the rear kit also.....WTF is what i said! The rear kit too? He said you cant have the front without the Rear! So it looks like the magnum will have wings next month!

not sure if it is the same for the magnum but on the charger you could NOT open the back door unless the front door was open. so, if your kids were to open the back door before you got the front door open it would rub the paint off. Otherwise, I love the mod!

Otherwise, I love the mod! That's exactly true on all VDI kits that fit rear doors. Due to the hinge articulating in a forward motion you have to have the front doors open. In terms of every day use, yup... the kit also articulates out in lieu of pivoting at the body line so the front doors must be open really to do anything. Otherwise the rear kit is actually better built than the fronts as it uses two connection points to lift while the front may anchor at two point, it actually only has the one pivot point making the doors a little floppy like when open. Its not a big deal, just don't lift the door on a windy day. And like everyone else said, don't get fat... I'm 6'3 and 255 and I have no problems skirting in or out as long as the seats are freshly cleaned so I slide easier . And lastly... if you're going to do it, do it right and upsize bolts or at least provide two tack welds to secure the kit so it doesn't sag at the bolts... the adjusters can be hit without removing the fenders again, but if the bolts sag you have to redo everything and readjust. 5K miles since my kit and its still as perfect as the day I finished installing it. Oh yeah... if you lengthen the harness, do what I didn't do... lengthen the door side. Of all my years in auto and audio you'd think I'd have gotten that right. Instead I lengthened the firewall side which makes reversal to an oem harness a pain. Although there should be enough space behind the dash to actually hide the 18" of slack should I decide to go stock. But for now... never. I'll sell the Mag before then. In fact I started looking for an SRT Jeep. Not that I'll do it... I think I love the Mag more than I want to own a true SRT.
