Hi All,
We're planing on a BBQ for September. It will be on Wednesday, September 14th at 7 PM. We are planning on the same location as last year at the South Jordan City River Front Park. The park is right at a round-about where S. River Front Parkway and Midas Pond road meet. The pavilion is to the southwest of the round-about. Because it requires a considerable fee to reserve this park for a non-South Jordan resident, we will be looking at a first come-first serve basis. Since it is September and the middle of the week I think we will be okay. But --- If anyone is a resident of South Jordan, please contact me and let's see if we can reserve the park for a reduced fee.
S. River Front Parkway is about 700 West at 10600 S. It goes south at the light from 10600 S just west of the Jordan River. Turn south onto S. River Front Parkway from 10600 South. You will pass through a large business park. Go past the business park to the second round-about. Turn right on Midas Pond Road and you'll see the pavilion south west of the intersection.
Mopars of Utah will provide the hamburgers, hot dogs and buns, water and soda and paper goods. The rest would be pot luck - please bring your own favorite dish.
Please RSVP so we can plan for the burgers, etc. I don't want to over buy and waste club money or under buy and have too little food. So please, let us know by posting up if you plan to attend.
One more important note: Prior to the BBQ we want to line up the cars for a group photo and include all of the people in it. We did this last year but it was a little dark when we got started. We'll have the means of getting the photo from a higher vantage point.
So...as you arrive, we want to park our cars on a diagonal basis facing the east with the back ends at the curb. We plan on having someone there to direct the parking. That way we'll be set up early.
Please bring your cars, your appetite, pot luck dish and a big, friendly smile. We look forward to seeing you all there.
