When it rain, it pours. Driver side HID headlight just went out. Just got done replacing both tie rods and both front slotted rotors, wife driving home from Colorado and threw p0170 code (lean bank 1) and now headlight. So anyway, thinking about replacing both HID with 12000k (purplish) and running HID 12000k Fog lights as well. I love that it is different looking but dont want unwanted attention from highway partol/law enforcement. I know the OEM/Stock HID are 4300K, but I am curious is anyone running over 6000k? Are maybe I should go legal route and stick with 6000K.

Yeah those lights are way too purple for my liking, Anything over 6K and you actually start losing light output.
I've got 6K in my projector headlights and 3K fogs, it's definitely surprising how much the yellow light helps in the rain.

I was going for the uniform/same color lights for all 4. Yeah visibility is very important to me and at the same time dont want to blind others in front of me or on coming traffic.

Don't know if I would go over 6k either. Even at 6K the light gets very blue. I'm running the factory HID's so I can give you a suggestion on that.
My fogs are also 3k, as well as my high beams, I personally don't like the yellow contrast over the whiter light. I'd rather have the uniformity.

Yeah, think I am going to go 6000k all around, but 12000k all around would be pretty cool too.

Noooooo 12k is reserved for trucks with 42 lights on the front that love purple lights!!!! I love my 6k and as stated after talking to flashtech you do indeed start to lose light output as you go past 4800k (don't quote me there... But I swear that's what he said when I told him I needed the brightest light output possible regardless of color... Yeah my lights were still dim )
