hey everyone with my new manifold setup almost done (thanks again tony) I'm looking at the direction I wanna take in color schemes and refining everything. haven't decided yet on what color I want my fuel rails (and for right now dont have a few hundred for a set of billet anodized ones) so since im looking at an additional set too have powder coated and ready has anyone run 6.1's on a 5.7? the SRT rails are much cleaner with the cross over tube in the back instead of running over the top of the middle of the manifold! I found a little info on the web but wanna know if we have any locals or members that have looked into this! thanks

Patrick, you probably already know this but the aftermarket fuel rails are notorious for leaking due to the fuel pressure and they don't have a bracket to hold them down. Obviously this can be fixed with a little adjustment:) Just another issue to keep in mind when switching.

Patrick the 6.1 rail will not go around the 5.7 manifold in the back, unless you bend the 90 degree fitting. Then you will have to silver solder it back together and then check fuel pressure to make sure it doesnt leak.

yeah I saw the threads that talked about bending them, I had planned on looking at oem srt rails but thanks for the heads up kellie! and I guess we can just take that cover off the line like we talked about ponch!

Another possiblity patrick is if you get 6.1 rails you can find the same size hose in the back and extend it an inch.

The 6.1 rails will fit fine on the 5.7 manifolds. All you have to do is add a slight bend to the elbow. I used to run the 6.1 rails on my car before I got the BT ones. All you need to do is get a pipe bender from like oreilly, autozone, etc.. It's only a few bucks and takes a few minutes to do. After you bend that elbow they work perfect. Only reason I went to aftermarket ones is because I wanted to tap my nitrous into my fuel rails. I have never had any leaking issues with my BT ones and they were easy to install.
