Might as well start early. Parr wants to go to a NASCAR race. The closest, and best of the three that are only a day drive away, is Vegas, in March of 2010. Who would be interested?

Well, we could stay at the cannery east. Nice little hotel off the strip. 59 bucks a night on weekend I think. 29 sun thru thurs. Food aint bad. OR
we could rent an rv and camp in the infield. Lots of ways to do it.

Lots of ways to do it. Let me educate you on NASCAR Weekend. The infield is probably already sold out. I have been going since the trucks started there. Contact LVMS right now for 2010 event. The day NASCAR announces race date, make your reservations. You might want to apply for a camping spot right now if you want to camp. I have been staying off turn 1 for 6 years and its about $300 for the weekend. The hotel will double there rates also. They pretty much bill you when you get back from March's race so you can keep your spot for next year. The truck race is this fall and you can pretty much walk up to that race though. |

Yeah grew up in vehas. Was there for the last 5 years till a year ago. Cannery East is a pretty good bit away, and not on the strip. Unfortunately they wont announce the schedule until December or so. Maybe earlier by a bit but I doubt it. Of course, there are also several LX members in Vegas who would give us floor space I bet, if we wanted to rough it. Heck, we could camp in his backyard like kids. LOL
