So, again, all things wrong I have had on my Magnum. Earlier this summer on my 1st year anniversary, my wife attempted to enter an address into the navigation. Well, the joystick went limp. I mean literally just began to flop. I found this link: www.lxforums.com/board/f89/step-step-how-replace-navigation-joystick-103765/ . Apparently it is common on these. So common that I noticed the units have the provision marks for the new switch as it is wider. Almost as if it were a shortcut to begin with... Anyway, I took off on that adventure last night. It took me just over an hour. I have all the soldering tools needed as well as basic soldering skills. So, if anyone finds themselves needing to replace the Navigation control joystick in the REC units, let me know and I'll help you! You just need to get the part for yourself is all. Besides, has anyone else on here except me gone through this repair yet??? I'm starting to feel lonely with my Magnum crapping the bed so frequently. Maybe I should trade it on that SRT Jeep sitting at RC Automotive.... or maybe not...

I've heard of the issue but (knock on wood) haven't had the problem. You'll be the first to know if it does! ;D Thanks for offering up your help.

I can't remember the bulb, cost me about $60 for the pair if I remember right. Some sort of high end Sylvania. I wasn't the one playing with the joystick when it broke... OOOOOOH! Bad joke.... I know.
