I picked up some VHT Wheel paint from Karl at API on Friday. (Karl is a great guy by the way) and painted some wheels for my friends Nissan. The VHT paint is great and easy to use and lays down perfect. Here are some pics of the wheels I painted.

Looks good, is that gloss black? Or flat with clear? Clean, sand, spray?

Just spent the last 2 hours taping a rim to begin painting the pockets. After those 2 hours, I wasn't even halfway done taping it off. Yeah, not gonna do this mod.

Yeah just wash them, scuff them with sandpaper, primer, paint then clear

What kind of primer? Does VHT have a wheel primer?

I used an engine primer from checker

Thats why i kinda wanted to go with duplicolor because they have a wheel primer. I might just try duplicolor, the worst that can happen is it starts to chip. And if it does i will just repaint it with VHT.
We on for Saturday afternoon or Sunday? Or if you get out early sometime this week i might be able to get out early also so we can install the halos.

VHT does have a primer as well as a clear coat, but I already had some duplicolor primer from paintng my coolant tank so we just used that
