I think im doing mats this year Glas to hear you are going! I will have a spare tire this time just in case and I didnt mean the one around my waist Richard, you taking your Charger or your SRT4? Lets half the hotel cost if you end up going..... The car is coming along Great put it on the dyno and it pushed just under 400 rear wheel horsepower and 437 ft lbs of torque on 6 lbs boost. Just have tuning and injectors left to do to get a little more power out of it and minor detail work to get the engine bay cleaned up. I should have no problem making it to mats this year Whoa!!! Holy batman! Congrats Ken Those are awesome numbers! Especially the Torque! And at 6lbs to boot Where bouts on the RWHP, I know you said ya said under 400 but is that 399 or 390..... Anyhow cant wait to see your car run down the track, hope you plan on addressing your future traction issue. Ask DWayne(terro45) and Rod(HotRod) both with insane RWHP numbers but suffer the same fate of hooking off the line.

I'm planning on going, probably going to try and stay at the Best Western I stayed at when I was there for the SRT experience.

I don't remember the hp since he is only focusing on the torque. He does not Want to go over 470 lbs due to stock crank and pistons, so once I get there he will be done we just ran out of fuel on the stock injectors

I think it was about 386 hp Nice! them numbers are better than stock SRT8 numbers and lightly modded SRT8 as well. Almost in the inclusive 500 Crank Horsepower club!

I'm excited to see that so many of you are interested. The cruise is something too fun to miss. It's a great car show and great racing. The track is far better to run on than RMR. There is also a new Hemi class. And if you don't want to show or race, you can buy a Fun Field pass. That means you park right next to the car show with just a short walk to the bleachers.
I hope to see a lot of you there. Some of you may not know this but the Painter family used to have several Chrysler dealerships. Unfortunately they were on the list of those who lost those dealerships. Despite this the Painters have continued to put on MATS. I love this all Mopar event and I continue to pledge my support in the hope of keeping the event going.

Ya know, Amber and I were wanting to do a Vegas trip this year, and thought about going to SEMA again, but staying the whole week for that would be a little pricey.
I might run this by her and see what she thinks.

What does this usually cost to do this event? I would hate to go down there with not enough funds..

What does this usually cost to do this event? I would hate to go down there with not enough funds.. It depends, I believe if you are racing in a class($75) that also covers your entry/field cost. Have no idea on carshow cost. You obvisouly have to get your hotel. I am not sure what or if there is a cost to watch and check out the carshows but I imagine the MATS season vet (Gordon) would know all the details.

What does this usually cost to do this event? I would hate to go down there with not enough funds.. Depends on what you want to do. If you want to race it's $75 for either the New Hemi Class or Street Class (we'll be racing in both). You get one Week-End Event Pass when you enter to race. If you want to enter into the Car Show it's either $50 (Non Judged) or $75 (Judged) depending on which one you want to do. General Admission is $25 per day (Kids under 12 Free), or $60.00 for the week end pass. There is a swap meet and a vendor area that you could spend what ever you want. $0 to look or $10K for a create motor, and everything between. The also have 426 Hemi motors for sale, but they are defiantly out of my price range. Here's the link to purchase tickets. It's cheaper to pre-buy them than it is to buy them at the gate. www.matslv.com/catalog/index.php

Silly question here but are you allowed to run Drag Radials in Street Class? I am assuming yeah, but I hate to find out its for street tires, even though my Drag Radials are DOT unlike Slicks

Yea if we go it would be to cruise down with everyone then just watch and look around for ideas on the car.. It's sounds doable though.. Does everyone stay at the same hotel or just get whatever one u want?

I am assuming yeah, but I hate to find out its for street tires, even though my Drag Radials are DOT unlike Slicks There are all kinds of guys running Drag Radials in that class. Yea if we go it would be to cruise down with everyone then just watch and look around for ideas on the car.. It's sounds doable though.. Does everyone stay at the same hotel or just get whatever one u want? There a couple of hotels near the south side of the air base that are pretty affordable. That's were we normally stay. It puts you about 15 minutes away from Vegas however. I normally don't head into down town Vegas when I'm there however. There's an activity at the Cannery that's free with your MATS admission either Friday or Saturday night. Where is the cruise going through this year? Sent from my HTC Glacier using ProBoards I think the plan is to head down Route 89 this year.
