So, I know Utah has some pretty stout emissions laws. Luckily here in Wyoming, we worry more about the carbon footprint of a cow more than a car so I just ordered me some parts.
Billet Tech Catch Can - Check. Billet Tech EGR Delete - Check. Working with Johan for custom tune - Double check.
The catch can is sleek looking, got the Z bracket. I'm hoping after the EGR delete and a new tune my Maggie gets just another little bit of ooomph.
Next on my list is the catalytic removal and second O2 sensor delete...
At least I keep all my old parts so going back to stock could be an option if I ever decided to sell or trade. But for now, I don't foresee that happening. EVER. Unless the manufacture new Magnums, mine is staying put.

Nice upgrades! However if you think Utah is bad you should try California! I'll take Utah over Cali any day!
They did relax the requirements on the older cars finally however. That's were we're doing the mods right now!

You won't notice any effects right off the bat, but the Hemi engines (both the 5.7 and 6.1) are very prone to crank case pressure, and for some reason they didn't put a very good baffle in the valve cover to prevent it from going into the intake. I would suggest getting one if you have the money for it. I can't believe how much some of them go for.

The catch can literally catches the blow-by through the manifold. Due to the head design in the HEMI what does blow by gets sucked back and tends to cause excessive gumming and sludge build up. The can prevents this. In fact, on my car I have the crank case filter and it happens to have oil leaking from within it onto my valve cover. Simply put, to help the life of the engine, a catch can is very worth the investment on the HEMI itself. Some cars don't have as bad of an issue, others do, the HEMI being one even in stock form. On all cars that are modded in terms of internals, a catch can is a benefit. You can see on the national forums what these things are catching during a regular 3k mile interval. I'll take a picture of my crank case filter too so you can see the oil that gets into the manifold with no place to go. Also, excessive oil in a cylinder has been known to cause premature detonation. Something else a catch can is know to help prevent. On lower mile cars that are stock its not a huge deal. But on those that have a few mods and are high mileage like mine, its just a good measure of preventative maintenance. But the nice one's aren't cheap... I ordered mine as a package with an Aeroforce scan gauge and the BT EGR delete so it wasn't a cheap mod to begin with. Still cheaper than the wifes new LS2 6.0L being built.... ugh.

Install complete... just have to trim my half covers to allow my catch can to sit straight vs. at a slight angle.
When removing my EGR, all I can say is WOW!!! You should see the amount of crap that is stuck to the end of that tube into the manifold. It is gross... nothing but oily gunk and buildup. I can only imagine the amount of sludge the heads and intake really have in it at 95+ thousand miles...
