So, I was looking into the DS tuners and saw the claim of 20hp/20tq gain. Typically, how much are you guys gaining from the DS's on canned tunes? Is it really worth the money? Quick searching leans towards "Yes," but I'd like a few more "selling points" to convince my wife and myself that it'd be noticeably worth it. Thanks y'all.

I love my DSP. I went from a stock boost of 14 up to 22lbs boost and im sure that did a huge increase on HP. I guess I will find out once I do the dyno in march.
extra plus is that you can play with your peramiters and adjust your fuel intake etc. totally worth it. (on SRT4 though)

I would say that is a stretch even at crank rating claims. Obviously the manufacture will boost the claims a little. If anything, I would say more realistic about 10-15 hp/tq gains at the crank. I dynod mine with can tune and without, and it wasn't a huge difference but I will say it would be worth it, cause every other mod you get, the tuner will help. Besides there are cool features, such as checking and clearing codes, data logging. I would suggest getting one, especially if you can get a lightly used one, that isn't married. I got mine for $300 out the door with cable, no shipping or taxes. I am all about the budget build, so if you can find one that isn't full price, I would say jump on it. Good luck and hopefully others will chime in with their opinions.

I say get the predator cuz you can data log off of it and plus just order a custom tune from Johan on lxforum. Custom tune is where it's at that way it matches every perameter of your car. I found the trinity is in the way and is over kill.

I love my intune! So far best money I have spent. Touch screen small and does everything I want and more. I can data log, load custom tunes and the diablo support is like no other IMO.

Dooo iiiittt!!!
I love mine. Pros like everyone said: Data Logging, Code View, Code Clearing.
Pros I like about mine: I can alter fan speeds to match my 180deg t-stat. I can modify my tire and wheel size on the fly for my 22's or when I go stock at 18's. I can shut off my egr since I have installed the egr delete or put it all back on and reactivate it if I needed to. I can shut down the 2nd in line O2 sensors as well for catalytic deletes. (Please note: both the EGR and O2 are things that have since been eliminated in software updates due to federal regulatory b.s. on emissions, only a custom tune or flashing your tuner to an elder software version will allow it).
It seems costly, but believe me... if you can land a lightly used one off the nationals forum, its well worth it. I'd say start there, many guys on the nat's are going to the new Diablo Sport Trinity and are selling the Predator like its a hot dog on a street corner.
