American Cancer Society Car Show

Just wanted to say thanks to Barry and his wife for putting on the show. My wife and I had a great time. Now where the heck was everyone else? There was only a handful of cars at this show. Why not more club turn out? I know they worked very hard on this and we as a club would be hard pressed to not have a friend or family that this disease hasn't touched. I have many and it means a lot to me that they went the extra mile to put this on. I only hope they weren't as disappointed with their car club as I was.

I would really like to thank Barry and his wife for putting on this show and those that participated and came out to support the show and the cause (Chris, Mikey, Frank, Kristin, and John and wife Linda). I do have to say I was floored by the lack of participation not only from our club but also the community. When I pulled up and saw 3 cars at this event after the show already had been going on for well over an hour it was heart breaking to say the least.. It would of made a world of difference to have those who could have come out to the show for at least 15 minutes to show some support.

It was great seeing those(Barry, Frank, Kristen, Mikey and Stephen) that showed up. Great to meet John and his wife Linda. Barry I hope the event was worth while as I know your wife went through alot of hard work to put on show and we thank her for all her efforts. Is there a Paypal address folks can donate money to? As there are probably a few members that would have loved to attend but already had previous arrangements that would donate as well. I would be willing to donate more as this is truly an excellent cause.

My younger was taken with cancer almost 3 years ago. I would've loved to attend but unfortunately I was still driving down I-80 during the time of the show.

I was very surprised at the low turn out as well. I was only able to stay for about 20 min. before i had to get back to work.

Did this car show get posted on thanks2frank.com? If not, then that may account for the low turnout. That website is the guidebook for local car shows. Was Facebook the main source of information for this cause? If so, lesson learned that FB may not be the best place to promote a cause/show? Did I understand the comments earlier that there were a total of 3 cars for the entire show or only 3 cars from our club?

This was a busy weekend of car shows and a lot of competition for the car showing people. Plenty of our members were at several shows this weekend, so I say kudos to everyone who participated in a show as we were spread pretty thin.
