I thought I would start a thread about the latest mod I just finished. First I bought new rims then hey look those look like crap. Stupid plane looking calipers so here is how it went. Napa, autozone, o'reiley sell caliper paint kits in different colors. I went with blue. Price was 24.99 total cost like I said cheap. Put car on jack stands. Pull wheels off and take out the brake pads. Read the instructions that come with. Next clean them off. I used the spray that comes with and a old toothbrush (sorry honey didn't know you were using that) Next mask and tape the parts you don't want painted. I also had some paper but news paper would also work or whatever you have. Next follow the instructions with the paint mine said to stir for blah blah time. Then start painting. I put cardboard under the spot to catch drips. Then second coat. Waited for about 2 hours and put the decal on. (I can make these for you) After two hours I put the brake pads back in and the wheels back on. Pressed the brake peddle a few times to get fluid and pads back to par and all done. Took about 3 hours total. Finished product.

Awesome write up! The blue really makes your wheels pop. I really like the "tommy gun" theme you got going on too.

I'm amazed at how well the caliper paint holds up. We painted the jeeps brakes blue a couple of years ago and they still look great today. We added the Brembo design on too, got that from eBay.

I agree, great stuff for the price. Mine has been on since 07 and I gotta couple little chips in it. I need to touch it up some day, probably save it for a winter mod. Maybe have Frank come over and do mine since I just can't quite understand his write-up.

Bad Ass Frank! Looks awesome. BTW saw pics of your engine bay at recent carshow. Your Airbushing art work looks amazing, you should have paid them double for that. Congrats on such a sweet ride in a short amount of time.
