Thanks to a coworker pointing me in the direction of this site I can now keep in touch with fellow Mopar owners. We own a 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 and obsoletely love it. In fact we were lucky enough to pick up the first one delivered to Utah last year. In March my wife, Linda, and I attended the SRT Track Experience out at the LHM Motorsports Park. What a blast that was! If you're unfamiliar with it, Chysler brings in their SRT Track Experience team along with the full line of 2012 SRT8s including the Charger (including the Super Bee), Challenger (including the Yellow Jacket), 300, and Grand Cherokee. During the full day of activities and racing you get to drive them all. If you haven't had a chance to do it I'd highly recommend it. They hold them all over the country throughout the year. Here's a link to a YouTube video of me in the Jeep Cherokee SRT8: . It may not look like I'm going that fast but let me assure you we were flat hauling you know what! When it looks like I'm slowing down it's because there was traffic ahead of us so the instructor (in the lead car) would slow us down to keep our distance. My fastest speed was in the Charger where I hit 125 MPH on the straightaway. Of course, the video of those laps was corrupt... honest! Anyway, we absolutely love our Charger and look forward to many fun-filled miles. I also look forward to joining in conversations on this site. Attachments:

Welcome and glad to have you here with us. Congrats on the beautiful 1 Hot SRT Charger . I believe its the first 392 Charger to the group. Curious who your co worker is? Is he on the forum? and yes we thank him for pointing you in this direction. Anyhow thanks for posting and look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event.

I believe its the first 392 Charger to the group. Curious who your co worker is? I think your right Chris, I think it is. And I was going to ask the same question. Welcome from Syracuse! Hope we have the chance to see you and your ride in person soon! Would also love to see ya take her down the drag strip on our club night in August.

I have to say "thanks" to everyone here for the warm welcome to this Mopar forum. And, I look forward to meeting many of you in upcoming events. I'm also curious to see what our SRT8 will do on the drag strip and may, indeed, bring it out on club night in August per 440Gordy's suggestion. I can tell you that Porches and the like look real nice in the rear view mirror as they're disappearing into the distance. I've seen one turn a 12.8 quarter mile and a 4.7 zero to 60 and also a 0-100-0 MPH in 16 seconds so I'm curious if I can replicate that. Per srt801's request, I'll check with my coworker first just to make sure they're fine with me sharing their name. I'd hate to embarrass anyone on joining the club and getting thrown out for it. In my earlier (dumb) years I'd been thrown out of my share of pubs in England, but I don't think I've ever been thrown out of a forum so I don't want to start now. I've been asked if "1HOTSRT" is my real license plate number. It is. I hate to admit it to this group but I used to own a Corvette (forgive me for my sins) before I wised up and came back to Mopars. It was an '89 with a few mods to the "L98" engine and put out 405 HP, which was a lot of horsepower in the early '90s. It's license plate number? You guessed it... 1HOTL98. So, I'm just carrying on the tradition with 1HOTSRT. We also own a Prius (the Charger's my guilty pleasure), but I just don't see "1HOTPRIUS" on the horizon. Anyway, thanks again for the warm welcome. Linda and I look forward to meeting our new-found friends in person and certainly catching folks online in this forum.
