LOL. We are all car enthusiasts and an easy going group when it comes to when you used to own or currently own. Although you may get some good natured questions regarding your taste in cars:)
Put some stripes on that Prius and then it will make the 'hot' criteria! Frank can hook you up.

I'm also curious to see what our SRT8 will do on the drag strip and may, indeed, bring it out on club night in August per 440Gordy's suggestion. I can tell you that Porches and the like look real nice in the rear view mirror as they're disappearing into the distance. I've seen one turn a 12.8 quarter mile and a 4.7 zero to 60 and also a 0-100-0 MPH in 16 seconds so I'm curious if I can replicate that. Per srt801's request, I'll check with my coworker first just to make sure they're fine with me sharing their name. I'd hate to embarrass anyone on joining the club and getting thrown out for it. In my earlier (dumb) years I'd been thrown out of my share of pubs in England, but I don't think I've ever been thrown out of a forum so I don't want to start now. Totally understand but you wont ever get banned from this site, it is very laid back and easy going here. In regard to the other 392 Charger running 12.8, was this at RMR? Only seen one 392 run at RMR and it was a Challenger and I believe it was 14 seconds. I seen 12.8 rated in magizines but those are usually performed at trackes with much better DA or closer to sea level not at RMR. Not to say it cant be done cause I have heard from many others that the new 392s are pretty dang stout and appear to be quite a bit quicker than the 6.1s. Hope to see you duplicate these numbers at RMR, I will be the first one out there cheering and rooting for you my friend as I am trying to get there as well.

The high 12's was down at sea level. I'm with you that at our altitude I'd expect around the 14 second mark for a 1/4 mile, too. The Uconnect display does record 0-60, 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile times so I may have to find a quiet stretch of road just to see what it'll do up here at 4,200 feet prior to heading out to RMR. I know from the SRT Track Experience and running on a short drag strip you can't get all the power down at launch even with traction control on. I lit the tires up pretty good holding it on brakes at 1,500 RPM at launch. Good job Chryler provided the car so at least it was their money going up in rubber dust and smoke. So, I may invest in a set of slicks before heading to RMR as I know that'll help get the power down and cut a few 10th's off the time.

I could mount a portable generator in the back cranking out 240V and hook it up to the battery pack. I'm sure I'd be on target for a 10 second run... at least for the first 15 feet 'til the motors toasted.

Welcome from west valley! I think you can expect high 13s at RMR on street tires, especially if you have an automatic and, like me, don't really know the best way to launch it.

We also own a Prius (the Charger's my guilty pleasure), but I just don't see "1HOTPRIUS" on the horizon. You can always bring that Prius to the Club race as well, would be fun to watch it run! Would be funny however if the Prius beat out the Chally in the bracket racing!

I could throw the Prius in the trunk of the Charger and bring it down, too. Actually when you floor the peddle at launch so the engine AND electric motor kicks in it gets up and goes pretty good. I was even able to chirp the tires taking off from lights one day. Okay, so I was making a right turn so things were in my favor. And I recognize maybe even a bicycle could chirp its tires taking off around a tight right turn as well. But, it made me feel really good like a proud father. Heck, I was about ready to jump out of the car high-fiving others drivers around me but instead resorted to looking at others drive pointing at myself as it to say; "Yeah, that was me that just did that!".
