Anyone know were I can get a good quality Verticle door kit and how much do they run? I thought Kellie or Stephen, tossed around the idea of selling theirs. You may want to PM them, and if they arent selling theirs, they could probably get you in the right direction. |

That is a crazy rumor! I think Stephen has done several installs, so he would know more about quality. I have the VDI kit and it has worked well but the rams have been replaced once. Check the magnum or lxforums to see if anyone is selling theirs.

The thought keeps crossing my mind. I love the show and wow factor, but I really want to build the HEMI to be a little more of a track whore. Track whores don't need butterfly wings... they fly without it.
However.... not that my sponsorship contract is over, VDI is alright as long as you work them. Random people have a tendency to leave damage... I've learned this. The LSD kit on the other hand, has many built in safety devices which will ultimately save the car and be a longer lasting, higher quality install. There is a reason why they are much more costly than the others... I have a contact there that may be willing to work with you on a partial sponsorship, cost you about $1200 for their kit. VDI will likely do the same for around $800 or so. But for the difference... pay the extra. GoMango has the LSD kit on his car if I remember correctly... you can play with my kit at the races Friday if you want to see it up close. I modified some things on install to help it out and provide a more solid install. Been well over a year with no adjustments... even hit the door on the garage door when up and broke the c-ring off the piston but didn't knock anything out of alignment.
