So for next season I'm thinking of adding some long tubes. Any info on the subject is most helpful. Chris, where did you buy and how much, and what about install? What type do I want to look for? Do I want cats, do you have cats? I saw a borla long tube catless with an X pipe right after the collectors for $866. I'm wanting to get these and maybe some slicks for next season so I can start knocking on 13's door.

American Racing and Kooks are your best bet for quality and ease of install. We usually can match and ususally beat any price at Premier on both of those brands since that's what our suppliers stock.
I know we did give a quote to Chris for his install, but he decided to go elsewhere. I don't blame him for the price he was able to get them done for though, I would've done the same thing had I been in his situation.
I'd also like to add that if your planning on running slicks, you might want to look into getting some extra half shafts to have just in case one of yours breaks, or just go and upgrade the ones you have now to hopefully avoid that entirely. If you don't have a hook up for emissions your going to want to run cats, from the cars we've run on the dyno you really only lose 3-4 HP with high flow cats, so its usually just worth it to have them so you avoid the hassle of getting caught without them.

Mine are Kooks, and I order the catless mid but dont have to worry bout emissions like Harrison mentioned. The Borla set up sounds like a great deal if it is LT Headers, Cats and X pipe for $866. I would check around on eBay and LX forums, as people aer always selling go fast parts. As far as install, Allan and Tony just did another set on the 5.7s and tey do great work at very reasonable prices. I had mine installed early this spring by my buddy Derek, who is Wes Johnson Mechanic who built the 300 Viper with 6 speed manual transmission. In regard to 13s ET, Slicks, Cam and Tune will have you deep into the 13s and Headers will just help your car perform more efficent.
