So, its cold. You know this. Apparently its too cold for my lights to work in auto. Anyone seen this? They come on if I switch to manual. Also some radio bugs in the cold. The radio will play, but have no display or control. This car does not lend itself to below freezing temperatures.

I've not had this issue, but then again I don't start the Mag much in the winter either. Hope someone has a suggestion.

Do you have remote start on yours? There are varying programming bugs that have lent themselves to being caused by the use of remote start. Depending on year and system installed, this may have something to do with it. Historically the 05 and 06 models had firmware issues that the remote start would disable the auto sensor. You'd then have to restart the car manually and they'd work. Does your car fall into this category?

Maybe some sort of protection?

No remote start but a restart gets em going again? Could maybe be something in the programming of the car or maybe there's a bad sensor somewhere? Did you say you're display doesn't turn on sometimes too? I'm not so sure there wouldn't be a short in a line, think along the lines of the dimmer switches and so on. If I get a minute I'll pull the wiring diagram and see if there is a circuit that routes from one to the other. It doesn't take much when cold for copper wires or contact to contract and lose connection.
Knowing how cars are wired these days, I'd say it could be possible for sure... I'll let you know if I see something in the schematic that could explain the fault.
